197w ago - Square Enix recently announced that the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV will arrive this September while the PS3 version is delayed until March 2011, and according to FFXIV producer Hiromichi Tanaka the reason for the delay on Sony's PlayStation 3 is due to technical issues.

In a recent interview with JeuxOnline he explained as follows, to quote:

"We understand the wrath of players and developers are sorry because they did everything they could to have a simultaneous release date, but unfortunately they have encountered many technical problems on the development of the game for PS3. We strive to release the game as soon as possible.

If possible, we would publish the game sooner, we would like to start as soon as possible the beta on PS3."

199w ago - Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime acknowledged that Nintendo was seeking feedback from attendees and may still tweak the design of the upcoming 3DS.

To quote: "You know typically, at an E3, our engineers are looking for feedback.

You know, we have an army of Nintendo representatives out on our show floor talking to attendees, getting reactions to everything in the device: the depth slider, the buttons, the sliding pad that is, essentially, an analog-type stick.

These are things that we're looking to get reaction to, including the overall button placement. When we get all that feedback, then we'll finalize the design.

The one thing, for sure, is that we will launch in all of our major markets by March 31, 2011," he stated.

I can never resist a slightly ajar door so I poked my head in to find Hiromichi Tanaka, senior vice president of software development, sitting down for a Final Fantasy XIV round table interview. There was a spare seat so I sat down, whistling behind a newspaper, and asked a few questions of my own.

As an extra titbit, there was PC monitor running the game in stereoscopic 3D in the same room, although Tanaka told me that this was purely a technical demonstration and he wouldn't be drawn when I asked if they...
