274w ago - Today Pelfast President John Bates has shared a Comet Crash defense gameplay video, and he announced that a Comet Crash free update will be coming soon to PSN for the PlayStation 3.

To quote: This is John Bates and Jennifer Pourchot from Pelfast. Pelfast is a small indie startup located in sunny California.

Our highly acclaimed debut title, Comet Crash for PS3 has turned the tower defense genre on its head with completely new and exciting gameplay. We've been busy again with a free update that will add a few new features described at the end of the post. For those unfamiliar with Comet Crash, here's a quick run down.

Tower defense fans appreciate the simple yet addictive experience of building towers to defend from enemy waves. On the other hand, we at Pelfast love the thrill of a massive offensive rush to demolish an enemy base. We designed Comet Crash with both of these elements in mind. Finally, you can send massive swarms of your own troops to wreak havoc on the relentless waves of enemies. Ahhh... sweet revenge!

In Comet Crash, your first priority is to defend your territory from an assortment of enemy invaders. For those of you new to tower defense gameplay, this involves strategically placing various weapon towers...

Rumor: PSN Cards to Come to Europe in October

350°
282w ago - Several sites are reporting a rumor today that PSN Cards will finally be coming to Europe on October 1, 2009.

To quote: October 1st will be an important day for Sony. With the launch of the PSP Go and the much-awaited Gran Turismo PSP already confirmed for that day, now it's been reported that the same day what European PSN users have been clamoring for years will be finally released: PSN pre-paid cards.

While we're labeling this as rumor since it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the timing of release makes it seem very likely, given that the download-only PSP Go launches on the same day, it makes sense for pre-paid cards to accompany it.

We'll keep you informed when Sony finally confirms the rumor.

XBox 360 Beats PS3 and Wii to Become the 'It' Console?

350°
283w ago - Has Microsoft's Xbox 360 finally cemented itself as the 'it' console for this generation? You know, the most talked about, played, respected and in the forefront of peoples minds?

If listening to the [Register or Login to view links] of US President Obama are to be taken at face value then perhaps so.

To quote: You can't just contract out parenting. For our kids to excel, we have to accept our responsibility to help them learn. That means putting away the Xbox – putting our kids to bed at a reasonable hour. It means attending those parent-teacher conferences and reading to our children and helping them with their homework."

With his recent public comment about 'putting away the Xbox' it makes you wonder why his words focused on the Microsoft brand name. If we're to go by sales then surely the most sold is the Nintendo Wii, yet there was no mention of 'putting away the Wii'.

Maybe Obama's speech writers felt it didn't roll off the tongue as smoothly as Xbox, but at least it proves that the masses understand and recognize the Xbox branding, which last generation would have certainly been PlayStation.

Microsoft has seen some great growth with...
