LittleBigPlanet Hot Bundle Arrives for the PS3

100°
316w ago - It looks like LittleBigPlanet will be gracing you with it's own bundle.

Sony will be really pushing LittleBigPlanet as one of it's top PS3's exclusive games late this fall.

It comes at no surprise that the game will be combine with a 80GB console system and will retail for € 399, which at this time in the currency exchange market would translate to $585.43 U.S., the system and the game would also be shipped with the Dualshock 3 controller and is now available for pre-order.

Uncharted PS3 Bundle Arrives this Fall, Includes 160GB HDD

100°
318w ago - With the PlayStation 3 40GB model slowly being phased out, it's time to make room for a brand-new addition to the PS3 hardware lineup - an Uncharted Drake's Fortune PS3 bundle.

In North America specifically, it's slated to hit in November at an MSRP of $499.99 and includes the aforementioned game, a voucher for PSN title PAIN, a DualShock 3 wireless controller, and a 160GB hard drive.

Over in Europe, the bundle is due out October 31. Configuration-wise there will be no difference, aside from the fact that it'll include an "additional PSN title," according to SCEE, which may or may not be PAIN.

Sony was quick to mention that this bundle will retain "all the same functionality" as the new 80GB that's popping up on retail shelves here in the U.S. That means no backwards compatibility, but you should be used to that now.

Wal-Mart confirms $100 PS3 gift card YES, even MGS4 bundle

200°
328w ago - We have confirmed with Wal-Mart Corporate Communications that the company is currently offering a $100 gift card this week with the purchase of any Blu-ray player.

This applies to all PS3s, including the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle available tomorrow. This re-confirms the information and documentation one of our reliable sources gave us two weeks ago.

After we made sure to ask about the MGS4 bundle this morning, Melissa O'Brien, a spokeswoman for Wal-Mart, told us, "Any Blu-ray player. Blu-ray. All of them."

She said that the deal is quite explicit in the Wal-Mart flyer for this week (an image of which we've placed after the break), and the deal is both online and in stores. We hope this clears up any confusion on the matter.

Warhawk Expansion Packs Omega Dawn & Broken Mirror Bundle

329w ago - Sony Europe announced today that Warhawk expansion packs Operation: Omega Dawn and Broken Mirror will be re-released and packaged together as single downloadable bundle later this month on the European PlayStation Store.

The combo pack will carry a budget friendly price of 5 Euros. The same pack hit the North American PSN last April.

To quote: Double Your Firepower with Warhawk and PLAYSTATION®Network (PSN) Warhawk expansion packs Operation: Omega Dawn and Operation: Broken Mirror to be released as downloadable double bundle

Drop into the heat of the battle and hit the ground running in June 2008 when Warhawk™ expansion packs Operation: Omega Dawn and Operation: Broken Mirror enter the fray as a Booster Combo Pack for you to download from PLAYSTATION®Network (PSN)™.

Individually both expansion packs opened up the world of Warhawk - the ultimate PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3)™ war experience played exclusively online - with new terrains, vehicles and weapons. Now they're bundled together as one downloadable pack, it's time for every last hesitant soldier to take arms and enter the fray once more as the war between the Eucadian and Chernovan troops continues.

After the success of the original Warhawk (required to play the Booster Combo Pack), the Operation: Omega...

GameStop prices GH: WT bundle at $190, play Rock Band instead

100°
330w ago - The general consensus seems to be that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was a gross misstep for the series. It appeared that Neversoft made up the note charts rather arbitrarily, with many songs being made difficult for difficulty's sake.

And Rock Band, which came out just over a month after GH III, has taken the videogame world by storm (well, in North America – it came out today in Europe) with its rocking party atmosphere and smart packaging of DLC.

However, as we've now seen, Activision is attempting to cash in on the "full band of plastic instruments" phenomenon with Guitar Hero World Tour. Looking to one-up Harmonix, the game will feature a drum kit with three pads and two cymbals, and (for now) an untethered bass pedal. Oh, and it appears as if the guitars will look more realistic (and feature Rock Band-esque solo buttons).

But the big question on most people's minds so far is this: how much will the full bundle cost? I, for one, am not too keen on the idea of spending another $170+ on a second set of fake instruments, especially when it comes with the attached strings of Activision's DLC pricing/packaging. Well, now we've got an idea – and my friends, it's not looking pretty.

If you head on over to GameStop.com and search for "Guitar Hero World Tour",...
