Hello everyone! The PLAYSTATION Eye is beginning to hit store shelves. Be sure to check it out and download your free EyeCreate software
on the PLAYSTATION Network.
Sarah Stocker did a great job of summarizing all of the great technology and features included in the PLAYSTATION Eye last week. I'm here to help answer some of the great questions you've been asking. Here we go:
Does the PLAYSTATION Eye come with any software?
The PLAYSTATION Eye comes with a FREE EyeCreate editing software download on the PLAYSTATION Network. The EyeCreate editing software allows you to save photos, video and audio clips to your PS3 hard disk drive and apply eye-catching visual effects to your images. Different capture modes like time-lapse and slow motion open up a world of possibilities to be explored further in EyeCreate's editing suite, where you can turn your media into professional looking movies.
What other games are available for the PLAYSTATION Eye?
THE EYE OF JUDGMENT is a visually stunning experience that adds a third dimension to the trading card genre. Specially...

the game director of Warhawk has posted up that some US players have been able to download the Warhawk v1.1 patch
before its Official global release date. However since then, Jobe reports that the problem has been resolved and the v1.1 patch has been take offline until the team can finalize their 'global test cycle'. To quote:
This afternoon, some of our US players were inadvertently able to download the v1.1 patch prior to its official, worldwide deployment. This problem has been resolved and the v1.1 patch has been taken offline until we finalize our global test cycle.
We super apologize for the inconvenience – we all want the patch out as soon as possible, but we need to wait for it to clear the last stages of our world-wide test before we "pull-the-trigger."
So...for those players that were using the Blu-ray version of Warhawk that *did* update to v1.1 today, we advise that you go to the XMB (cross media bar), and in your "Game Data Utility", delete your Warhawk game data. Once you've done that, just re-boot Warhawk and the game will re-install v1.0, allowing you to play with the 1.0 world again. And I know you'll all ask this...it will *not* affect your stats or Save Data.
- Konami is suffering criticism from gamers who say the PS3 version of the game suffers from frame rate issues and slowdown. You can see why we gave the game seven out of 10 in our review here. You can also see our exclusive gameplay footage here.
Earlier today Konami apologised for the quality of online play with an online notification displayed when gamers enter the PES 2008 lobby. It revealed that the publisher has uncovered "issues which can affect the online gameplay quality of PES 2008" and is working "full strength to find a solution as quickly as possible".
We gave Konami's UK office a call posing as a customer to ask what the publisher would be doing to combat the problems. We were told that a patch was being worked on that would not only attempt to improve offline play but also online play. However, Konami does not have a timeframe on when that patch will be released.
It remains unclear how PES fans who are not connected to the Internet will be able to improve the quality of their game experience, however.
: According to IGN, it is now set for release in the UK on November 16.
Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced its highly anticipated Assassin's Creed video game has gone "gold" and is set to launch in North America on November 13, 2007.
The title is one of the most anticipated games for the holiday season, arriving on the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft at the MSRP of $59.99 with the Limited Edition priced at $69.99 - rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. In addition, those who pre-order Assassin's Creed at GameStop will receive an exclusive Assassin's Creed art book bonus when they pick up their game.
"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts," shared Jade Raymond, producer of Assassin's Creed. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun."
Assassin's Creed PC should be in shops early 2008.
- It's been a while since we've heard anything from Conflict: Denied Ops, but Eidos has ended the drought today with these ten brand spanking new screenshots.
Previous games in the Conflict series have gone down a (Desert) storm on console, but for this new instalment the series' four-man, squad-based formula has been ditched in favour of a focus on two-soldier co-op action.
Eidos has spoken previously of how Denied Ops features gameplay that's focussed on "accessible two-man tactics" - talking about switching seamlessly between teammates to lay down covering fire, exploring diverging paths, creating distractions and pinning the enemy under fire, for example.
It's due out next year on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. More screenshots at the link at the top!
