219w ago - Today Naughty Dog's Co-President Evan Wells has announced that they will be updating the frequency of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Twitter feeds as a result of too many updates.
To quote: We've seen some concern about the frequency of updates for those choosing to use UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves' Twitter support.
Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour.
We obviously want to provide the best experience for everybody, so for the time being we've disabled Twitter updates on chapter completions. The option will still exist in the menus when the game ships on 10/13, but if activated, it will do nothing.
Some time after the game has shipped, we'll release a patch to reactivate the feature, but with a limit on the frequency of updates.
We're certainly sorry for any inconvenience, but I guess that's the risk you run when trying to blaze a new trail in the complicated world of Social Media!
And the 140 character version: Heard concerns about Twitter chapter updates for UNCHARTED 2. We've just disabled it but will patch...
220w ago - Today Sony's Eric Lempel has clarified Justin Cooney of SCEA's statement from just before the weekend.
Cooney initially said that PSP Minis will drop WiFi Multiplayer, DLC and Software Update support.
However, speaking to Destructoid.com (linked above) Lempel reassured concerned users with the following statement, to quote:
"So you can patch Minis, but we won't have multiplayer functions in the beginning. Basically, to get these developers on board, and to make it easier to test and get it through the pipeline, we won't be allowing that functionality for the first stage of Minis.
It's something we will consider in the future, he added, referring to the posibility of game updates and multiplayer in future PSP Mini titles."

231w ago - PCWorld had the opportunity to interview Sony's Director of Network Operations Eric Lempel to get answers to several topics including PS3 Firmware Updates, NXE and Hulu.
For the complete interview see the link above, but below are some excepts from it, as follows:
When asked why Sony doesn't provide more PS3 Firmware Update details on the PlayStation Blog, Lempel stated:
"Well basically in the updates that we do on the blog, it's really to tell consumers this is what you can do today with your PS3, or in the next few days when we release a firmware update.
It isn't about diving into the tech and letting them know six months from now you're going to see a game that may have better effects in a certain area because we've put this in such and such update. That's not as digestible for the majority of consumers. It just won't work."
When asked if Microsoft's NXE debut mimicked the PS3 XMB, he stated:
"You know, I didn't really think about it that way. I mean, I saw some comparisons when it came out, but that's very interesting that you say that. You know, hey, it's great, if they like our interface and want to copy it, as long as that's legal, sure. I don't really know...
234w ago - Team RamRod's Brandon Akiaten has announced two new ball packs among other updates for High Velocity Bowling today.

• More than 1 additional costume is now allowed especially in Online Head to Head.
Don Carlos 'El Gordo' Caliente Don Carlos is a lower tier Luchador from Mexico City, Mexico. Beyond his size, his love for spicy foods has equipped him with the internal power to launch the ball. Unfortunately, his brute force leaves him with very little spin success. Comes with the new Casa de Caliente lane.
Milan 'Princess' Travellage Milan is the daughter of a wealthy motel magnate from Van Nuys, California. This wannabe celebutante sports knockoffs of the latest fashions, and plays with the best second-hand balls on the market,...
