European PSN Game Store Updates for November 10, 2010

100°
201w ago - Sony's Ross McGrath of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted up this weeks European PSN game store updates today, as follows:

First of all we have a new selection of Special Offers for you to browse - check these out and see if anything tickles your fancy.

I seem to recall we had a few requests for more bullet-hell, so you'll be pleased to see the platform/BH hybrid, Crescent Pale Mist hitting the digital shelves today.

On PSP we've a few sporty titles (yes, pro-wrestling is a sport, don't you dare say otherwise) for you and after the mini drought on minis last week, we've got three new bite-size gaming chunks for you today.

But, surely the star of the show this week is Grandia - undoubtedly one of the finest RPGs of the PSone generation. I'm very pleased it's finally with us and I'll be nabbing it as the next game to play on my work commute. Based on the potential 80+ hours of gameplay nestled away in there it should last about three months of tube journeys.

There's plenty of DLC this week, including the previously delayed Stunt pack for ModNation Racers and the missing Morpheus character skin for God of War III to name but a couple of pieces. See you later!

New PlayStation Home PDA System and Status Updates Incoming

50°
201w ago - A few days back we reported on the PlayStation Home Client Update version 1.4 patch notes, which arrives on November 11, and today PlayStationLifeStyle.net (linked above) has made available some leaked PlayStation Home screenshots that indicate a new PDA System, Status Updates and pets for Sony's virtual world are incoming.

While there is no confirmation yet if these changes will be included in the 1.4 update or shortly thereafter, based on the pictures they are definitely coming soon.

To quote: "Locust_Star confirmed that the Home wardrobe system would be experiencing a significant overhaul, and it appears that part of that overhaul will mean simpler, faster interface options through the PDA, much like the new start-up screen that users are used to.

Next we notice that users will now have the ability to select a status for their avatar, making it easier to let others know that you don't want to be bothered, or that you want to get a game going; this may even grant users the ability to change facial expressions, which many have been asking...
