Lumines Supernova coming to PSN this Fall

50°
312w ago - A brand new PS3-exclusive version of the popular Q Entertainment puzzle game is coming. The game is titled Lumines Supernova and will be an e-distributed game -- just like the Xbox Live version.

This PSN game will be pretty much the same deal as previous Lumines games, but with new stages and modes.

There are 40 skins to be unlocked in Challenge Mode, and there are a slew of news modes, including Dig Down Mode and Sequencer Mode.

Dig Down appears to be a Lumines-inspired version of Dig Dug, while Sequencer Mode allows players to create their own background music using various sounds and loops.

Rumor: Xbox 360's Fall Update Rolling Out Before September 7th?

50°
313w ago - Endsights writes: The rumor reads: "[The $199 SKU will feature] the traditional Arcade goodies (512MB memory card, etc.), the new Fall update pre-loaded as well as a motion controller and a few motion controlled mini games developed by Rare."

Aside from the motion-controller headline, the announcement of the Fall Dashboard Update (Xbox Experience) being pre-loaded on the system should raise some eyebrows.

If this rumor is true-that would mean that the new Xbox Experience would be hitting Xbox 360 consoles in the very near future; probably before September 7th rolls around.

Again, while this is speculation upon speculation, it is definitely something to look out for in the coming weeks.

Uncharted PS3 Bundle Arrives this Fall, Includes 160GB HDD

100°
314w ago - With the PlayStation 3 40GB model slowly being phased out, it's time to make room for a brand-new addition to the PS3 hardware lineup - an Uncharted Drake's Fortune PS3 bundle.

In North America specifically, it's slated to hit in November at an MSRP of $499.99 and includes the aforementioned game, a voucher for PSN title PAIN, a DualShock 3 wireless controller, and a 160GB hard drive.

Over in Europe, the bundle is due out October 31. Configuration-wise there will be no difference, aside from the fact that it'll include an "additional PSN title," according to SCEE, which may or may not be PAIN.

Sony was quick to mention that this bundle will retain "all the same functionality" as the new 80GB that's popping up on retail shelves here in the U.S. That means no backwards compatibility, but you should be used to that now.

318w ago - Make games. Make money. That's the motto of Microsoft's Xbox Live Community Games initiative, which will officially launch to consumers this fall, alongside the forthcoming dashboard update.

As the company's first foray into democratizing game development on a console, indy developers will be able create their own game using the XNA framework, then submit it to Microsoft for peer review.

If approved, you'll be able to set a price on your game, ranging from three suggested retail price points at 200 to 800 Microsoft Points. Developers will receive a 70% return on any game sold, with the remaining 30% going to Microsoft. Microsoft expects community-created efforts to "double the size" of the Xbox 360 library.
