Rumor: Uncharted 2 for PlayStation 3 to be Set in India?

50°
313w ago - According to kittoo from NeoGAF (linked above) he feels it's pretty much (unofficially) confirmed that Uncharted 2 for PlayStation 3 is going to be set in India.

Below are the related pictures, and here is his reasoning as follows:

In this pic (top left), the truck is shown is of TATA motors. TATA is an Indian truck company and more than half of the trucks in India are manufactured by this company. Also, on the truck, Natraj is written. Its name of an Indian God and is pretty common in India.

A lot of things in this screen (top right) are written in Hindi. The top most red board in right says beer in Hindi. Also the last board in right says 'hastrekha vigyan' which means 'science of palm reading'. The board above it says something in Hindi too but I cant read that.

This pic (bottom left) has one more board in Hindi.

A hindu God in the right picture (bottom right). The statue.

318w ago - Capcom's John Diamonon shared the following today via PS Blog:

Hey PS Fam! Long time no blog. It's my pleasure to announce that Age of Booty will finally become available today on the PSN for only $9.99. I know there was a delay bringing this title to you, but we had to make sure we fixed all the bugs before we deliver one of the most original digital games on this platform.

Anyway, Max Hoberman, the President of Certain Affinity and the developer of Age of Booty, wanted to give you some insights into this critically acclaimed game. He'll also answer any questions you have about the game. Without further ado, heeeere's Max!

This is a follow-up to my previous post, where I described the genesis of our upcoming downloadable pirate action RTS, Age of Booty. I left off with us signing a publishing deal with Capcom and beginning production. That was a year ago, and since then we've had a lot of time to improve upon the original design.

At this point you might be wondering what exactly Age of Booty is all about. In my last post I touched on the game's unique combination of simple, intuitive controls and mechanics and strategic depth. But that was all pretty high-level, so let's dive a bit deeper.

In Age of Booty you are the captain of a pirate ship, a...

Uncharted Waters Setting Sail on PlayStation 3 Next Year

50°
323w ago - Update: The PS3 version will feature enhanced visuals and a new interface. Now it appears that the game might use the same servers, but that hasn't been confirmed.

Koei's PC title Uncharted Waters will be sailing swiftly onto PS3 in 2009.

Not to be confused with the similarly named jungle-romp Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, in Uncharted Waters Online, you take on the role of a character from one of Europe's seafaring nations including Portugal, Spain, England, and more.

From your base in Lisbon, Seville, London, or another of the headquarter cities, you may choose the path of the adventurer, the merchant, or the soldier and make your fortune on the seas.

When it launches, the game will be hosted on the same servers as the PC iteration. We'll have more for you on Uncharted Waters soon.
