177w ago - Virtual Air Guitar Company CEO Teemu Maki-Patola has shared a fresh Kung-Fu Live PS3 trailer just in time for Comic-Con 2010.
To quote: Teemu Maki-Patola back to give you the latest update on Kung-Fu LIVE since first showing it off right here on the PlayStation.blog back in May.
With Comic-Con just days away in the US, this week is one of the most exciting times to be a lover of all things comics and video games. With that in mind, we finally wanted to show off a closer look at what it's like to literally step into the pages of a classic pulp action-comic in our latest trailer below!
For those of you PlayStation Eye owners or future PlayStation Move owners, this trailer gives you a better look at exactly how our own Freemotion technology will work when tracking your entire body without any controllers.
As you can see, we always find it's best to let loose when playing the game, and dressing up in your favorite 'bad-ass' outfit is something we definitely recommend. As far as weapons go, the single-player experience is currently controller-free, and players can use their own inanimate objects to take down enemies with much more style!
178w ago - Activision's Social Media Manager Dan Amrich has announced that beginning today the Blur multiplayer PS3 demo is live on PlayStation Network.
To quote: Today, the PlayStation 3 demo of Blur became available in the PlayStation Store – and you know what comes standard?
Pools of lightning bolts, explosive mines, bursts of nitro speed, and big glowing red balls of homing-missile danger. This is the kind of arcade-style combat racing that gets my motor running.
Oh, and the mileage is excellent – I've been playing Blur for weeks now and I'm still not bored.
The Blur multiplayer demo gives you a pretty sizeable chunk of what the game has to offer. A dozen real-world cars, including I'll-never-own-it-but-I-can-drool rides like the Lotus Exige Cup 260 and Ford GT.
Six tracks in two gameplay modes and seven mods that let you tweak the game mechanics to match your style of play all eight of the chaotic power-ups, and the ability to boast about your skills to friends on the PlayStation Network with a single button press. (The full retail version also lets you brag on Facebook and Twitter.)
178w ago - DeathSpank Designer Chris Mitchell has confirmed alongside a video trailer that DeathSpank will be delivering justice to Sony's PS3 on PSN tomorrow.
To quote: Hey everybody this is Darren Evenson and Chris Mitchell from Hothead Games. We're here to talk about combat in DeathSpank.
In case you don't know already, DeathSpank is an action-RPG mixed with adventure gameplay.
A lot of people are saying it is like Diablo meets Monkey Island which is appropriate because Ron Gilbert, the co-creator of Monkey Island, was the Creative Director for the game. The quick summary is that the game has a ton of action, a ton of loot and is as funny as hell.
An early design goal for combat was that it needed to be approachable but with surprising depth. Gamers had to be able to pick up the game and figure it out immediately but make little discoveries as they continued to play.
The first thing players use are mortal weapons. This large collection of blunt objects and sharp things do physical damage to enemies. They're an effective and satisfying way to smash enemies or put holes in them.

181w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has revealed how fans can win a Beta Code for Medal of Honor Multiplayer, which recently went live on the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: Beta access is reserved for those who pre-order the full version of Medal of Honor, EA and DICE's modern-day war shooter that hits the PS3 this October.
Luckily, we've got 18 beta code vouchers to hand out - keep an eye on the official PlayStation Twitter feed to find out how to win later today.
To get a head start on the giveaway, watch the following video (very) carefully.
Note: If you do win a beta voucher, you must redeem it on the official Medal of Honor site and specify PS3 to get a code you can redeem on the PSN Store.
At the 2010 E3 Expo last week, Medal of Honor executive producer Greg Goodrich and creative director Richard Farrelly gave us a primer on what's new (modern-day Afghanistan with modern-day weapons), what's unlockable (Tier 1 Operator status and...beards?!), and what's planned for the final release of Medal of Honor this fall.
