245w ago - Sony FirstPlay Associate Editor Nathan Ditum has shared a video preview of Episode 2 today, which will be hitting PS3 via PSN this week.

To quote: First of all I'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone who tried Episode 1 last week, and for all the feedback we've received.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, and as we learn what all the shiny FirstPlay knobs and buttons do, it'll only get better from here.

And just to prove it, episode 002 will be up on the [Register or Login to view links] from this Thursday (15th), featuring a review of Super Street Fighter IV alongside previews of explosive racer [Register or Login to view links] and dog 'em up Dead To Rights: Retribution.

We've also got another packed set of Network Highlights - including a countdown of your best FIFA goals - and a first look at Shinji Mikami's new shooter Vanquish in our screenshot galleries.

This all comes at our regular, cheaper-than-a-posh-packet-of-biscuits price of 99p (or £8.99 for a 90-day subscription). And to make the deal even sweeter, this week we're giving away a full minis game worth £2.49. Not...

Ubisoft Introduces Splinter Cell: Conviction Match Service Today

50°
245w ago - Ubisoft have introduced a new service today for the title Splinter Cell: Conviction dubbed Splinter Cell Match.

Available at [Register or Login to view links], it allows you to track your gaming stats - including Mission Progress, Challenge progression, Achievements, Session Logs and Leaderboards, as well as allowing you to compare these directly with other players.

To quote: "You will need an Ubisoft account that it tied to your Gamertag though, but surely that will be no hassle!

Alongside this, you are also able to use the site to matchmake yourself with a partner - allowing you not only to make new friends, but meet other people based on a number of parameters that you set and your current stats.

Such parameters include age, location, whether you want to use voice chat, what day's you usually play on and at what time, meaning that the site is able to search for people that best suit your set criteria."

Sony Introduces Echoshift for the PSP, DLC Also in the Works

50°
254w ago - SCEA Marketing Specialist Brian Chou has introduced Echoshift for Sony's PSP console today, as follows:

I'm here to talk about [Register or Login to view links], an upcoming PlayStation Portable title that brings a fun and different twist to the puzzle genre.

Echoshift introduces a new gaming concept where you will have to play with your past actions. Each level features crazy puzzles and obstacles that must be overcome in order to reach its exit door. You have a set amount of time to reach each level's exit, and your actions are recorded as you play through the level, creating an "echo" of your past.

If time runs out before you can complete the level, you start over from the beginning alongside your echo. The echo will repeat any actions you took before, which you can use to your advantage this time around to help clear obstacles you couldn't by yourself! Cooperate with your echoes to climb platforms, clear gaps, and reach switches that you couldn't before.

The levels are filled with so many different puzzle gimmicks that you'll have to create multiple echoes to reach an exit. Whenever you start over, any echoes you've created will appear at the same time.

It is up to you...
