295w ago - The mysterious "PS3mote", the Wii-mote-like PS3 controller that has been talked about numerous times over the past 2 years the PS3 has been released. Every gamer knows the power of a controller like this. The Nintendo Wii is the best selling console this generation, and let's face it... It's because of the controller.

A controller that is so user friendly, that even grandma, and grandpa can pick it up, not be intimidated, and have a blast. That's the appeal, everyone has used a remote for their TV, their VCR, their DVD player. The remote is an icon in American (and I am sure many other) culture.

DRM in Free Trials and Demos, Two New Class-Action Suits

297w ago - What's the point? SecuROM is there to make sure that you own the original CD for whatever it is protecting, but to put it in free trials downloaded off the Internet.. really what's the point?

Especially when you don't include that in the EULA. Read more at Slashdot and GamesPolitics.

To quote: Now, two new class-action suits have been filed that target the SecuROM software included in a free trial of the Spore Creature Creator (PDF) and in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage (PDF).

If this sort of legal reprisal continues to catch on, EA could be seeing quite a few class-action suits in the future. One of the suits accuses:

Famitsu Reveals New Action-RPG dubbed Demon's Souls for PS3

303w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment has unviled unveiled its new action-RPG entitled 'Demon's Souls' for PS3 in the latest issue of Famitsu.

The game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show this year, and is scheduled for release in Japan next year.

Here are a few translated details from the link above:

- you can create your own hero with several customization options available
-You must fight impressive monsters
- The monsters are apparently able to change their shape (giant butterfly, dragon, etc..)
