112w ago - PlayStation Store Director Grace Chen is here with this weeks US PS3, PS Vita and PSN updates today as follows:

With the official launch of PS Vita at hand, we're augmenting last week's PS Store launch on PS Vita with another stellar update as well as some new PS3 Full Games, world class demos and one pre-order opportunity you won't want to miss.

To start, one of the biggest games of the year is coming straight to PSN, the same day it's available at retail. Mass Effect 3 will be available to download on March 6th and to celebrate, we've partnered with EA to bring you a special pre-order on the PlayStation Store.

Pre-order on the PlayStation Store now and get the M-55 Argus Assault Rifle and the Mass Effect 3 - Take Earth Back Theme.

PS Vita games are also easy to look to as the star of the show this week. Games like TALES FROM SPACE: MUTANT BLOBS ATTACK, Touch My Katamari and Plants Vs Zombies pepper the PlayStation Store with some great gaming experiences. There's even a new PS minis triple pack from Grip Games with 3 of their best hits, playable on PS Vita.

But don't miss out on the other Vita-only experiences like the AR (Augmented Reality) games Cliff Diving, Table Soccer and Fireworks. You'll also be excited to see the first wave of apps...

PopCap Games: Plants vs Zombies for PS Vita Hits PSN Today

300°
112w ago - PopCap Games Director of Editorial and Social Media Jeff Green has announced that Plants vs Zombies for PS Vita is hitting PSN today with details below.

To quote: I know it's been over a year since we last spoke, and I am sorry about that. I've just been really busy and haven't had time to write, and I swear I have not been cheating on you with the Xbox blog or anything.

Anyway, now that the awkwardness is out of the way and we're friends again, I am here to tell you that I have another exciting announcement for you! Plants Vs Zombies is coming to your brand-spankin' new PS Vita today! Yay!

If you have never played our action-puzzler – that pits a horde of horticultural heroes against a mob of fetid, undead, brain-eating zombies - there is no better time than now. The PS Vita version is darn near the most perfect version of Plants Vs Zombies yet, taking advantage of the handheld console's touchscreen and internal motion sensors.

And if you have played it before, well, why not play it again?

Think of it as training for the real zombie apocalypse, which, not to be too much of a bummer here, could be coming any day now. Why be one of the unfortunate ones who end up in some undead guy's brain sandwich? Do the responsible thing and prepare now with our game!...

Sony Announces Uncharted: Golden Abyss Treasure Map DLC Pack

250°
112w ago - Today Sony Associate Product Manager Ken Chan has announced that the Uncharted: Golden Abyss Treasure Map DLC Pack is slated to arrive this Wednesday for PlayStation Vita fans.

To quote: There are literally hundreds of treasures and artifacts in UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss that help tell the backstories of the game's locations and characters, and all are tied to Trophies.

To provide some extra incentive to explore every nook and cranny in the game, we added hidden paths throughout every level – finding everything will be a challenge!

But we also decided to create Treasure Maps for those who want all the game's Trophies but who aren't keen on exploration, or just want a hint now and then.

Since UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss is a portable game, it's not always easy to hop online and look up an FAQ. For that reason, we decided to offer DLC that integrates the Treasure Maps directly into Drake's Journal.

When you buy and install the maps, a new Treasure Map Icon appears on the Chapter page for each level. Tap the icon to bring up the map.

You'll be greeted with a full-screen image of the level showing all of its major landmarks and the locations of rubbings, photos, artifacts, treasures and Mysteries. And in case you were wondering, there are 34 maps...

Sony Announces Retro City Rampage Coming to PS Vita and PS3

200°
112w ago - Today Developer Brian Provinciano has announced that Retro City Rampage is coming to both PS Vita and the PS3 entertainment system with details below.

To quote: Let's get right to it – Retro City Rampage is coming to PS3 and PS Vita!

I couldn't be more excited to finally share the news. For those not familiar with RCR, it's an over-the-top open-world crime game that combines everything you loved in classic games and mashes them up into a "toon town" of nostalgia and parody.

Steal cars, and then jump on pedestrians for big shiny coins. Collect power-ups and outrun the law while rampaging the city, shooting a light gun or swinging your bionic arm.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto will feel right at home with RCR, but the missions extend far beyond driving and shooting. They fuse classic gaming and modern mechanics to span virtually every genre, from stealth to platforming, adventure, rhythm and more- there are even underwater levels.

What I'm most proud of is that everything flows together using the same mechanics and visuals. Even missions inspired by '80s coin-op games seamlessly take place in the open-world.

It really is a massive game with something for everyone. It boasts a full story mode with over...
