321w ago - It's being reported that Sony and developer Incognito are planning a content download pack for the multiplayer only title, Warhawk.
December is the month we're told to this could happen and the download's biggest pull is said to be a new vehicle. It's being dubbed a missile-launching, airlifting drop ship by some, but without official confirmation, we'll just have to wait and see.
Warhawk director Dylan Jobe was unable to talk about the rumored expansion, but did tell Shacknews the studio remains committed to supporting the Warhawk community.
"We've already made significant updates on the server-side to help issues with stats and connectivity," said Jobe, "and we will further update the community with additional server-side updates, as well as client-side patches."

You've got the career path, where pro skaters like Arto Saari take you around and shoot skate videos with you. Then there's the hardcore path, where guys like Mike Vallely and Dustin Dollin teach you the fine arts of wearing jean jackets and how to properly knock over pedestrians.
Lastly there's the "rigger" path, where guys like Jeff King and Daewon Song turn Proving Ground into a puzzle game and have you place or modify pieces around the environment and rig up some new trick lines. On top of all that, there are plenty of other nondenominational chalk challenge goals, where you'll see marks around the world that ask you to grind, manual, wallride, or leap from one mark to the next. Most of the goals can be completed in three ways for three different difficulties, ranging once again from amateur to sick.
From the three lifestyles, things are even further broken down into episodes, which usually focus on one specific skater giving you a handful of different goals. Bob Burnquist's set of goals has you learning some new tricks, then taking on competition skating. Bam Margera's goals focus more on climbing than on actual skating,...
321w ago - This post in the PlayStation forums claims that Sony Customer Service told the owner of a bricked PS3 that plugging his console into a surge protector had voided his warranty, and that he'd have to pay $150 to have the unit repaired.
This sounded pretty unlikely to us, so we contacted Sony and were told that, no, plugging your PS3 into a surge protector does not void your warranty. Duh. Ok, they didn't actually say "Duh," but it was clearly implied.
Sony will be contacting the customer with the bricked PS3 to resolve the matter and sort out any misunderstandings.
