105w ago - Following up on the previous report by Eurogamer, today Sony Computer Entertainment Senior VP Yoshio Matsumoto and Division 2 Software Development Head Muneki Shimada denied the report meaning there isn't a universal solution planned for making all PS3 games playable remotely on PS Vita.
To quote via Andriasang.com (linked above): "Freelance journalist Munechika Nishida conducted an interview with Sony's PlayStation Vita development staff for the latest installment of his "Random Tracking" series at Impress Watch.
He asked Sony Computer Entertainment Senior VP Yoshio Matsumoto and Division 2 Software Development Head Muneki Shimada about the reports.
"That information is mistaken," said Matsumoto. "The compatibility is achieved on the side of the PS3 game, just like normal."
Shimada agreed, saying that as with previous implementations of Remote Play, games will need API support."
105w ago - Today SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has shared a video interview on MotorStorm RC which will be heading to both PS Vita and the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: Judging from the comments, we caught you by surprise when we announced that MotorStorm RC is coming to PS3 and PS Vita in time for launch.
You all seem really excited about the game so I followed up with its director Paul Rustchynsky to discuss in more detail the vision, the Cross-Play with PS3 and PS Vita, and the social interactions that will be at the heart of MotorStorm RC.
If you have any further questions then please let us know in the comments and I'll get the answers.
To quote: This application is probably not of use for the community but some official PS VITA developers.
I required it just for some tests, but it would be a waste of codelines not to share it, so here it is:
PS VITA Live Area preViewer outputs various information about a game, including it's style it uses on the PS VITA.
To use it, simply choose the root folder of a PS VITA game. Then check the style in the upper right of the program which it is ment to be displayed with and choose the correct tab. All else is self-explaining.
