In-Shirt XMB: Sony gets a sense of humor

50°
356w ago - The single biggest gripe PS3 owners have - CONSTANTLY - is not being able to access the XMB menu while in a game to change settings, chat and send messages and invites (think the 'guide blade' on Xbox 360).

Well, these T-shirts have been spotted at GDC (Game Developers Conference)... and it would seem Sony have found it rather amusing.

Is In-Game XMB just days away? We can but hope!

LittleBigPlanet planning lip-synching voice chat, filters!

100°
356w ago - Just when you thought you knew everything you could about Media Molecule's upcoming world-creator game LittleBigPlanet, we find something else that blows our minds and makes us anticipate the title even more.

In the latest Edge magazine, it's been revealed that in addition to the emotions and such your sackboy (and sackgirl) can perform, there are plans to lip-synch voice chat.

That is to say, the characters will move their mouths in roughly the same way you do (even if not, it's still cool). Down the line, expect stuff like voice filters, too. We think that's a pretty stellar move.

Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard - PS3 Review!

200°
356w ago - It is never fun to try to type in things with your PS3 controller, whether it be names of characters in games such as Call of Duty 4, created player names in Madden, etc. It is also no fun to search the web on the PS3 without the use of a keyboard. Enter, the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro, to cure all of these problems and more on your Sony PS3.

The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro uses Bluetooth technology to link up with your PS3 and as easy as anything to sync up, as the PS3 found it in about two seconds, extremely quickly.

There are some great features on the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro beyond just being a keyboard. The design of the keyboard is extremely sleek as the whole make-up of the keyboard looks nice sitting next to, or underneath your PS3. It has a great finish which matches the PS3 well.

The keyboard keys feel tremendous and sturdy. It features the standard keyboard set-up as well as specific keys for the x, circle, triangle and square buttons, as well as media playback buttons to ease the control over Blu-ray movies.

On the right side of the keyboard there is also a touchpad which works just as one does on a laptop keyboard set-up. This simulates a mouse nicely, making for extremely easy navigation, especially on web pages. The touchpad also features left...

High-Res Artwork for Heavenly Sword Sequel

50°
356w ago - At least we presume the artwork is for a Heavenly Sword sequel, since Ninja Theory has stated that it is a three game series. Have a gander at the High-res artwork after the jump.

Ninja Theory's website has been updated with a more mature and darker look, along with news of their next project:

Right now we're working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing. We can't say a lot except that it's going to be great to work on and should be even better to play!

It'll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before.

With such a strong Playstation 3 engine and vision for their Heavenly Sword project, could this be artwork for an exciting sequel set in a future post-apocalyptic time? A time that might be waiting for the immortal Heavenly Sword to save its people? Or does the concept art suggest a completely new IP?

Rumor: Home is coming very soon, in-game XMB done!

50°
356w ago - sev1512 claims to have some insider access to a variety of news relating to PS3 Home and in-game XMB features. He says that PSedge dev kits released an update and the new Home libraries were introduced.

It is claimed that a game must be able to integrate into Home and a game must be able to support accomplishments. Moreover, every game that is coming out soon now supports in-game XMB and those already out will have to be patched. All in all Home is said to be very close as well as in-game XMB.

To quote: Anyways, very exciting stuff happened on Monday (The one that just past). The PSedge dev kits, recieved an update. So whatever, we take a look, and the major addition, was that the TRC's were updated, and the new HOME libraries were brought in.

What does this mean? A TRC is a checklist of things a game must have for Sony to approve, in order for them to give the "Go-Ahead" on releasing the game on their console. This checklist has things like: Can't crash, Load times under 10 seconds, and things like that.

Two new ones were added: A game must be able to integrate into Home, a game must support "Accomplishments". Right there, two important things, the PS3 system for achievements is called "Accomplishments", and Home is coming out VERY VERY VERY Soon.

Then, we...
