As you can see in the trailer above, Trials Fusion builds off of the Trials series' unique take on physics-based platform racing while introducing features such as the brand new FMX Tricks System.

Our development teams at RedLynx and Ubisoft Shanghai have designed Trials Fusion specifically for next-gen hardware, and we plan on bringing you tons of races, skill games, and challenges to tackle in the months to come.

Trials Fusion will also include the fan-favorite Editor Mode and an updated version of Track Central, where you can download and share creations with Trials riders and builders all over the world. We can't wait to see what you create - using the same tools that our level designers used - when you start building this April.

Trials Fusion will be available as a digital download for $19.99, or you can pick up a physical edition,...

Sony Goes Hands-on with Helldivers PS4 on PlayStation 4

50°
30w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements went hands-on today with Helldivers PS4 on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Helldivers marries real-life laughter and video game death better than it should. Within ten minutes of top-down mayhem, my team and I were mauled by a wild praying mantis, trampled by beetles, evaporated by ordinance, and crushed by our own orbital supply pod. And we couldn't stop laughing along the way.

This absurdly entertaining co-op shooter is coming to PS3, PS4, and PS Vita later this year, courtesy of Swedish developer Arrowhead Games. A brutally difficult experience spritzed with Starship Troopers aesthetics, Helldivers reminds us that some of the best multiplayer still emerges from couch co-op. And a countless array of untimely deaths.

Helldivers establishes its dystopian future with a sly wink. It's just serious enough to keep players on the battlefield, but only just. The inhabitants of Super Earth - under a "managed democracy" - face a three-pronged attack against a host of dangerous enemies. Deadly bug hordes included.

As a Helldiver, players will drop into procedurally-generated environments in order to drive back the alien menace. Their objectives include destroying bug nests, securing contested zones, and even protecting supply...

Q&A: PS4 By the Numbers with Sony Vice President John Koller

50°
31w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared a PlayStation 4 Q&A today dubbed PS4 By the Numbers with Vice President John Koller below.

To quote: Though the slimmer, lighter PS Vita - and its upcoming North American release - was squarely in the spotlight of this week's PlayStation Showcase, PS4 wasn't left behind. Today, I caught up with Sony Computer Entertainment America Marketing Vice President John Koller for a status check on PS4's global rollout - an especially relevant topic, with the Japanese PS4 debut less than two weeks away.

PlayStation.Blog: Can you share any updates on PS4's global sell-through?

John Koller: The response has been fantastic. In the US, PS4 was #1 in sales for next-gen consoles in January, nearly doubling the nearest next-gen competitor. And PS4 remains the cumulative leader here based on today's report from the NPD Group.

Globally, we announced last month that we've sold through more than 4.2 million units as of the holiday season, making PS4's launch the biggest in console gaming history. I think the PS4 demand is indicative of how we've tapped into something special - and that's that gamers want to be recognized for their greatness and want to enjoy experiences together.

We're looking forward to what 2014 has...

Daylight on PS4: Designing the Hero, Protagonist Sarah Gwynn

50°
32w ago - Daylight Writer Jessica Chobot shared details today on designing the hero, protagonist Sarah Gwynn, in Daylight on PS4.

To quote: With the Daylight launch just around the corner, I wanted to give PlayStation.Blog readers a bit of background on our protagonist, Sarah Gwynn.

The reasons we chose to go with a female main character were twofold. The first reason being that because I was writing the game, she became (in a roundabout way) an extension of myself. I came up with the outline for Daylight based on some urban exploration I did in my high school days.

Specifically, a blighted little spot within my small Michigan town by the name of The Sheldon Buildings (officially known as the [Register or Login to view links] for Feeble Minded Children).

The Sheldon Buildings were a dilapidated set of buildings from the early 1900s linked together by a set of underground tunnels running throughout the grounds (they've since been torn down). A town within a town, the outer perimeter of the Training School was bricked-in by a 7+ foot tall wall.

Within the gates, the school hosted a hospital center, a gigantic, old-fashioned theater, dorms, an indoor and outdoor pool, its own police and fire stations, as well...
