224w ago - Today Rockstar has debunked the rumor that surfaced yesterday that Grand Theft Auto IV: Lost and Damned DLC may be heading to the PlayStation 3 console.
To quote: Rockstar Games has told VG247 that the two episodes of DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, wont be going to the PlayStation 3 and are still Xbox 360 exclusives.
It comes as an SCEE community moderator, who was at GamesCom this week, reported last night that The Lost and Damned was playable on the showfloor for the PS3 in Cologne.
A Rockstar rep told us: "The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are both exclusive to Xbox 360."
225w ago - Today GameSpy has some preliminary details and concept art (courtesy of JeuxFrance.com) available on the upcoming PS3 exclusive title Kurayami by Suda 51, as follows:
Suda 51 harnesses the power of PS3 for a bizarre action/adventure inspired the work of existentialist writer Franz Kafka.
In an unusual town full of odd locals, your stranded characters must explore the town and its castle to find a way out, using only his carried torch to light his way and to fend off the unexpected and unexplainable horrors that await.
Thanks to the power techniques of PlayStation 3, Suda Goichi intends to stress the graphic style (textures, drawings of the characters, decorations, etc.) of Kurayami so that the player can truly sense the darkness, as the concept of the fear will play a very important part in the play.
Additionally, advanced new lighting and graphic techniques are used to impress upon you the feeling of fear and loneliness (the tite "Kurayami" means "Darkness" in Japanese) as you venture through to the end of your quest.
228w ago - Electronic Arts has released the last few Command & Conquer games on both PC and consoles, so it's only natural some gamers are scratching their heads over the publisher's continued insistence Command & Conquer 4 will remain a PC exclusive.
Their statements about the PC exclusivity, however, are continuing to leave the company wiggle room. Nothing about EA's responses to fans outright says it's not coming to consoles. To quote:
"C&C 4 is a PC exclusive right now," reads a Twitter response Command & Conquer community manager APOC made in response to a fan asking about a console version.
Slipping "right now" is a popular tactic amongst publishers who want to send a message to fans to not lose hope.
The technology for a console version of Command & Conquer 4 is already in place, and while EA may be saying their latest sequel is remaining a PC exclusive, "right now" may simply signify "hey, we want to spotlight the PC for a while."
231w ago - By way of EA/Visceral Games comes Dante's Inferno. Taking a page right out of God of War, it features a hero named Dante of course, who wields a multifunctional sickle-like weapon as his main instrument of death.
Unlike Kratos, who goes about his business at a merciless pace Dante appears to be more noble as he battles the nine circles of the underworld; Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud and Treachery.
As Dante's Inferno is slated for a December 2010 release, gamers will certainly have gotten their feel of Kratos' next adventure and once again the bar will have been set even higher. An exclusive Dante's Inferno gameplay video is below.
Dante's Inferno is looking to take the adventures of Kratos to the next level and hopefully high enough to force Kratos out of retirement. It will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation Portable.
