319w ago - The Warhawk 1.1 patch is now officially available for download. To get the latest patch, just launch your Warhawk game and you will be notified that the 1.1 update is available.
The download is about 8.2 megs. If you managed to get the patch before today's official release, when it was accidentally released, you'll find there are fixes to the "viral-rank-up" and the "time-in-vehicle stat".
To quote: Just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that the Warhawk v1.1 patch will be deployed world-wide on Friday, November 2nd, during an extended maintenance window between 5am and 9am Pacific.
Some of you were able to download the v1.1 patch before it was "officially" ready. Since this occurred without the server-side updates to complement it, not all of the fixes would have functioned. Specifically, the viral-rank-up fix and the time-in-vehicle stat fix. Once we bring the system back online Friday, 9am Pacific, these fixes will be functional.
Also, once we deploy the patch, when you boot Warhawk, you will be prompted by the XMB to download the v1.1 patch. This is a fast download so it's not a time killer. Once the XMB has pulled the patch down, Warhawk will boot back up and be happy! You will also notice a "v1.1″ in the lower right corner of the screen.
319w ago - Capcom sent us a shower of images for the beat'em all Devil May Cry 4 on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Planned for a February 2008 release on our continent, this mega production will place Nero at the heart of a story where Dante will make some memorable appearances. The environments spread a delectable flavour, so the delay is half forgiven.

319w ago - Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was prominently featured at the recent Gran Turismo Awards. The 2007 SEMA show is the perfect collaboration between the auto and gaming industries.
LAS VEGAS--Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) hosted its fifth annual Gran Turismo Awards last night at Wynn Casino's Tryst nightclub in conjunction with the 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show.
"The 2007 Gran Turismo Awards showcases the collaboration between the automotive culture and the gaming industry," said Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the racing franchise that has sold over 47 million copies worldwide. "We are proud to honor auto enthusiasts for their passion of cars, and to celebrate the automotive lifestyle that Gran Turismo embodies."
The president of developer Polyphony Digital was in Vegas to demo the new game, which is slated to ship in Q1 2008 (potentially in February), as well as to hand-pick the winner of this year's "Best of Show" award--Marcel Horn. A virtual version of Horn's 2007 Audi TT vehicle will be featured in the next game, Gran Turismo 5, which is at least another year away from release.
Last year's "Best of Show" car, a silver 1960 Chevrolet Corvette, is playable in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which was on display at Sony Electronic's booth at SEMA.
319w ago - The Sony PS3 could be about to pull off one of the biggest turn-arounds the games market has ever seen. After a slow start, where Sony's console was hampered by its high pricing and lack of quality games, the PlayStation 3 now looks like it's on a roll.
Now that the PS3 and Xbox 360 price-changes and various new models have settled into the market place, sales figures for both consoles are looking dramatically different.
PS3 on the charge
Through August and September, the Xbox 360 was consistently outselling the PlayStation 3 by quite a margin. In late September, the combined might of the new Xbox 360 Elite and Halo 3 gave Microsoft a 30,000 unit lead over Sony (according to VG Chartz data).
But the "Halo" momentum has definitely slowed for Microsoft and the fortunes of the two consoles have seemingly reversed.
While the Nintendo Wii is still way out in front in Europe (VG Chartz estimates that it sold 50,000 plus in the past two weeks), the PS3 is now consistently outselling the Xbox 360 in the UK for the first time.
In the few weeks after the PS3's price-cut, Sony's console sales effectively doubled, rising from a steady 5,000 per week in September to 12,000 plus at the end of October .
In the week ending 28 October, VG Chartz has the PS3 outselling...
