Video: New Little King's Story Marches Onto PlayStation Vita Today

100°
113w ago - Konami Assistant Producer Takanori Murayama has posted up a video today of the new Little King's Story which is marching onto PlayStation Vita today.

To quote: New Little King is back and better than ever - now on the PlayStation Vita. Featuring a brand new storyline and online functionality, New Little King's Story offers players a royal role playing game with enhanced PS Vita system graphics and features.

New Little King's Story follows players as they assume the role of King Corobo, tasked with reclaiming his kingdom from the Devil King, "The Nightmare."

Players will experience an incredible journey as they visit seven different kingdoms and battle against evil dark lords that have captured the royal princesses.

As king, gamers will need to lead their Royal Guard in every grand battle, and plan attacks wisely as they grow their populations and broaden their territories.

The new PS Vita version will allow players to get more deeply engaged with their fellow characters. Players can temper and customise their characters, meaning all characters have experience points and by fighting as a group, makes them grow up.

In addition, by changing accessories freely, a player can dress up their troops as he or she likes. It is also possible to...

Video: Table Ice Hockey Skates Onto PlayStation Vita Today

50°
113w ago - XDev Studio Europe Producer Mark O'Connor has announced alongside a launch video trailer that Table Ice Hockey skates onto PlayStation Vita today.

Below are the details, to quote: Hey there everyone. I'm excited to be able to tell you about Table Ice Hockey, the latest 'AR Play' game for PS Vita.

It uses three of the AR Play Cards to transform and freeze your table top to make an ice hockey rink and arena. You start off with the basic frozen lake surface and then unlock bigger and more advanced stadiums the more you progress through the game.

We have designed the game to be really easy to pick up and play, with a great arcade-style look and feel. You take direct control of any one of five players out on the ice, putting together fast flowing moves and end-to-end game action.

The really cool thing about the AR aspect is the fact that you can play the game from any position, so you can move your PS Vita around to get as close to or as far away from the action as you like. Replay mode is another great way to enjoy this aspect, as you are in charge of the camera, viewing from whatever angle looks best.

Don't worry if you are new to the sport or want to brush up your skills, there is a tutorial option available to get you started. This is split up into 'Beginner'...

Sony Goes Hands-On with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation PS Vita

50°
113w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman has gone hands-on today with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on the PS Vita console!

Below are the details, to quote: Last week, [Register or Login to view links] graciously offered members of the gaming media the first opportunity to go hands-on with Assassin's Creed III for PS3 and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, the upcoming PS Vita-bound chapter set against the backdrop of Spanish occupation in 18th century Louisiana.

Both games, of course, demonstrated plenty of promise: ACIII for its Revolutionary War-era pomp and Skyrim-rivalling scale, ACIII: Liberation for its sultry new setting and uncanny attention to detail.

But in the five days since the hands-on session, I've unexpectedly found myself reflecting more on my experiences with Liberation. Seeing the series' sprawling, hyper-detailed environments and fluid gameplay so faithfully recreated on PS Vita's luminous 5'' screen bordered on startling.

Protagonist Aveline also struck me as an interesting character with unique motivations, and the game's untapped 18th-century Louisiana setting seems like it could pay off in a big way.

Refined by leaps and bounds compared to its early E3 showing, the updated build of Liberation I played...
