EA's Top Secret GTA V Screenshot & Tech Demo Discovered

347w ago - Many of us have been holding our breath since EA made its initial offer to buy Take-Two, and the company's comment, stating that they would wait until the release of Grand Theft Auto IV before discussing the offer any further, did very little to ease that sick feeling in our stomachs.

EA, who has been known to tone down the violent content of their games and splurge on in game advertising (as shown above), is set to destroy our beloved Grand Theft Auto franchise. The top secret tech demo showcasing EA's take on the series is not for the faint of heart.

How could Take-Two ever let something like this happen? The Grand Theft Auto franchise deserves to go down in history as one of the greatest games ever made – remembered for its controversy, not it's excessive in game advertising. The horror!

Ok, you got me, this is an obvious satire piece, however it does offer a potential eerie glimpse into the future. Hopefully this crosses the desk of a few key individuals at Take-Two and makes them think twice before allowing EA to place their thumb print on such a beloved franchise.

On the Xbox 360 and PS3, owners have the ability to download TV shows, films, store pictures and music, all of which raise the level of gaming consoles onto some higher level that they have never before reached. They've essentially become miniature PCs, more or less.

On the Xbox 360, for instance, the HDD are changeable but range from no or small standard storage to a much larger drive that comes with a $100 price tag. However, it does have to be said that the HDD is preferable to other alternatives and Peter Molyneux, who is currently working on Fable 2, agrees.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Molyneux said that he believed a built-in hard disk drive was to be included with all consoles and that supporting inexpensive hardware for video game consoles in a crucial factor for the industry. "Given the choice," Molyneux told Eurogamer , "I'd obviously choose a hard drive every day of...

Exclusive Screen of Shadow of the Colossus 2 for PS3!

347w ago - Our secret agent managed to extract massive amounts of awesome in the form of 8 days info but s/he also managed to snag a screen for Shadow of the Colossus 2, the one of two new titles that's being developed by Sony's Team Ico studio.

There seems to be a green, arachnid-esque colossi on the right that was blurred out intentionally by the developer. (Or by our spy, who knows.)

But the real treat is the picturesque desert scene. Enjoy.
