50°
45w ago - Square Enix Senior Product Manager Sakura Minamida posted up a video today announcing that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster is out today on PS3 and PS Vita.

Below are the details, to quote: We're coming to you today to let you know that [Register or Login to view links] is available to pick up and take home now on both PS3 and PS Vita, bringing two classic RPGs to the modern age.

Whether Final Fantasy X was one of your favorite games back on the PS2, or you never got a chance to try it, there's never been a better time to play.

The HD Remasters of both games are feature complete with all the International Edition content that never got released here in North America, and now they take advantage of all the neat stuff PlayStation consoles offer.

You've got some major Trophy hunting to do, and the two versions feature cross save compatibility with each other, so if you've got both, you never have to be without your game. The music is completely remastered, there's a bonus audio drama... This is truly the definitive version of both games!

We had a lot of great pre-order bonuses going, and while that window has passed, I can say that there are still very limited quantities of the [Register or Login to view links]

Video: Race the Sun Coming to PS3, PS4, PS Vita This Summer

46w ago - Flippfly Co-founder Forest San Filippo announced that Race the Sun is coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita this Summer alongside a video of it in action below.

To quote: There's just something about going fast. The desire for speed seems to be ingrained in our very nature. Race the Sun is our attempt to distill that desire into its basic form - to strip away all pretense and let players experience pure, brutal speed. Building a game with this goal in mind took a lot of trial, error, and some new ideas.

The Goals

When we first played the prototype that would become Race the Sun, we felt like we had something special. Every time one of us would crash, we'd say "Just one more run. I know I can do better." It felt like we were playing a classic arcade game designed to suck you in.

After quite a bit of discussion and thought, we decided on some specific goals for Race the Sun. It had to be fast, fun, and challenging. We knew that some of the fastest games out there were encumbered by complex rules and controls - and we really wanted our game to be fun right from the start. The mantra "easy to learn, hard to master" was adopted in lieu of design documents, and we got to work.

Easy to Learn

Rain Games: Teslagrad on PS3 & PS Vita: The Secrets of Magnetism

50°
46w ago - Today Eduardo Garabito of Rain Games announced that Teslagrad is hitting PS3 and PS Vita this year with some Secrets of Magnetism detailed below.

To quote: Hi! We've wanted to write this piece for a long time. It's been great to announce Teslagrad for PS3 and PS Vita coming this year, and it's also wonderful to have this opportunity to present our game in detail.

Let's suppose that the question here is simply "Hey, what's Teslagrad about?" We've had to answer that question many, many times, and we have our response down to a science:

Teslagrad is a puzzle platformer with action elements, where magnetism and other electromagnetic powers are the key to go throughout the game, and thereby discover the secrets kept in the long abandoned Tesla Tower.

That's quite the statement. How did you like it? It's like a mantra. We just can't recall how many times we've said and/or written that. And that's why we're looking forward to this post. Now we can go into more detail. So, Teslagrad is...

Magnetism: Magnets, we know how they work! Electromagnetic forces are the lifeblood of the game, either acting as a magnetic elevator or as part of teslamancer weaponry (just to pick a couple of the many examples). Magnetic interaction allows you to not only play around as much as you...

Cel Damage HD is Coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita This Spring

47w ago - Finish Line Games Co-founder Daniel Posner announced today that Cel Damage HD is coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita this Spring.

To quote: Hi readers! I'm Daniel Posner, reaching out to you from Toronto, Canada. My long-time friend, Rich Hilmer, and I recently co-founded a brand new indie game studio called Finish Line Games.

Along with guru programmer friend Matt Robinson, Rich and I have been working on a passion project over the past few years, and we're super excited to announce the fruits of our labor: Cel Damage HD, a high definition re-release of the original, vehicular combat game that debuted back in 2001.

It's cold in Toronto at the moment, but spring is right around the corner. We'll be celebrating the end of the cold with the explosive launch of Cel Damage HD on PlayStation Store as a cross-buy purchase for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. That's right, buy it for one system and you can play it on all three!

Some of you might remember this timeless classic, but let me refresh you on everything Cel Damage HD has to offer. Part Demolition Derby, part Whacked-Out Cartoon Come to Life, Cel Damage HD allows you to play as up to 10 crazy characters/vehicles with more than 30 over-the-top weapons.

Play in either Smack Attack (deathmatch), Flag Rally (capture-the-flag)...

FEZ Turns Heads on PS4, PS3, and PlayStation Vita on March 25th

50°
47w ago - Polytron Producer Marie-Christine Bourdua announced today that FEZ turns heads on PS4, PS3, and PlayStation Vita on March 25th, 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: This is it. We've come to the end of development, and Fez is finally coming to PlayStation on March 25th!

It's been an incredible adventure, and we couldn't have made it without the amazing work of [Register or Login to view links] and the support of Sony's team. In the name of all of us at Polytron, thank you so much!

People have been asking for a PS3 version of Fez since day one, and we believe it was worth the wait. Blit took the time to make a solid C++ port of the game, which runs smoothly at native resolution on PS Vita, and 720p at 60 frames per second on PS3.

The PS4 version is what we consider to be the best-looking and smoothest Fez experience you can get on a TV set, running at beautiful 1080p (and yes, 60fps too). You wouldn't think that upping the resolution would make a big difference in a game like ours, where the pixels are the size of Gomez's fist... but it really does look even crisper and blockier - in a good way.

No one's going to blame you for digging around, but you won't find many big changes in these versions of the game. However, there are a few surprises... especially...
