E3 2009: Microsoft Unveils Motion-sensing Project Natal

550°
290w ago - Microsoft has unveiled Project Natal, which features a motion sensing camera.

Stephen Spielberg demoed it on stage and says it will recognize "your entire being".

Although it's "not reinventing the wheel because there's no wheel at all", Microsoft plans to make games as accessible as possible, as it will work with the Xbox Dashboard, recognizes your face, and signs you in automatically.

Games using the camera were demoed.

3D Breakout where body controls the ball, and you can move arms, legs, head and kick the ball and it detects the speed and power of the hit.

Comparing itself to the Wii, Microsoft says that this is done up off the couch, with Waggle commands.

Another demo called Paint Party uses body and voice to "express inner creativity" by splattering paint onto a canvas. Just say the color you want and the game adds it.

No date for the camera yet, but it's still being shown behind closed doors to developers.

Team ICO's Project Trico HD Trailer and Screenshot Available

300°
292w ago - Up until now, the only image that has been released about Team ICO's next game is a single image of a chain hanging down what appears to be a well.

To quote: Today we help lift the curtain off of this project a bit and shed some light on what Fumito Ueda has been up to these past few years and as you will see, it is rather close to ICO.

This is very early footage the next game from Team ICO. As with most early footage you can expect graphical enhancements for the final product.

Some of these elements, such as the main character, or scenarios you see here may not make the final cut.

Below is some early footage of the next game from Team ICO, exclusive to the PlayStation 3. This video may not represent the final product. Allow some time for this to buffer.

Wow... Hope we get to know a lot more on the 18th of May

Project: Warhawk Running Entirely from the PS3 HDD

400°
303w ago - I am working on a project and have Warhawk running from PS3 HDD.

• No PKG version

• No Warhawk disc while WH is running

• Motorstorm running as proxy disc

• Legal way

I won't explain the details here yet until the project is finished 100%, also cuz many devs want to take a look at first and not get it patched that fast.

More to come soon...
