241w ago - During his trip through Europe, Infinity Ward's Community Relations Manager Robert Bowling has found the time to tweet that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360 will be getting a patch soon that will be a headache for players who like to get their kicks by cheating.
Bowling says the patch is going through certification now and that the "cheaters days are numbered."
To quote: Heads up - A patch is in the works to elminate the cheaters in COD4 on Xbox360.
Going through certification now. Cheaters days are numbered.

The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.20 update addresses the following issues:

• Fixed an issue which would cause large numbers of players in a high player count game to be simultaneously disconnected.
• Fixed an issue which would cause players to be invincible.
• Fixed a physics issue which would cause players to occasionally "warp" around on the map.

268w ago - Per Matt Morton (Associate Producer, SCEA-Santa Monica Studios) today:
Hi PixelJunkies! I'm Matt Morton, Associate Producer at SCEA Santa Monica Studio and I've had the great fortune of working on the PixelJunk series since the very first title, PixelJunk Racers. We've been working hard to keep spreading the PixelJunk Love (as Deb Mars calls it) and wanted to give you a heads up on the upcoming patch for PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Monsters: Encore.
Recently, Jeff Rubenstein got to visit Q-Games in Kyoto (the lucky so-and-so) and shot an interview with Dylan to talk more about the patch for PixelJunk Monsters. Check it out...
The patch will be releasing VERY soon, with Japan getting the first patch release on October 23. If all goes well with final testing, you will see the patch in SCEA and SCEE territories on October 30. If there are any delays to the above mentioned dates, we will be sure to update the blog to let you know about it, so stay tuned!
The Q-Games team has been hard at work on the PixelJunk Monsters patch and has packed a TON of great features into this great game. I'll give you a quick breakdown of some of the new features you will expect to see:
274w ago - Remember BattleField: Bad Company? Of course you do. Some of you are probably still playing it. If you aren't, then you soon might be because the game is due to get a shot in the arm before too long.
After running a contest through which players could decide on which map pack DICE should start working on first, a post has gone up on the official blog to let us know that there will be other content coming when the map pack drops.
There's no indication on when that'll be, or if it'll cost us anything, but the accompanying patch will be free, at least. With this patch DICE are looking to fix several bugs, such as server lag and VOIP issues. There will also be various gameplay tweaks.
Not only that, but three weapons, previously only obtainable through pre-ordering, playing the demo or signing up to the newsletter, will be made available to everyone for free. Check out the full list of fixes and tweaks at the official blog.
Finally (saving the best til last) the patch will add trophy support to the game. PS3 gamers are being spoilt by all these free, content patches. Not that we're complaining. We hope to find out when this'll hit soon.
