LittleBigPlanet GOTY Out Today, Meet the Special Guest Designers

250°
282w ago - SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine has announced that LittleBigPlanet GOTY (Game Of The Year) Edition arrives today, and has revealed some details of the special guest designers as follows:

For those who haven't jumped on the "Play, Create and Share" bandwagon yet, now is the time as the LittleBigPlanet Game of Year edition Game of Year edition is available NOW!

The new package includes everything from the original as well as seven free downloadable content packs, a PlayStation Network voucher code to download the upcoming ModNation Racers online beta AND 18 never-before-seen levels created by some extremely talented members of the community - all bonus content valued at more than $30!

So, how did these 18 consumers get to be part of a video game? Well, it wasn't random. Our team at Media Molecule handpicked them all after viewing the exceptional levels each fan had previously posted online.

Once identified, we contracted each person, with payment, of course, to create a new level that would be incorporated into the Game of the Year. So, all 18 people are now amateur video game developers for the PlayStation family.

One of these creators, David Dino, a 27 year-old Hospital Safety Coordinator from Azusa, CA, recently spoke with USAToday.com about his...

Disgaea 2 Ships Today, Other Classic PSP Titles Re-Releasing

200°
282w ago - Today NIS America, Inc's PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has announced that Disgaea 2 is now shiping, and that other classic PSP titles will be re-releasing soon.

To quote: It's been a while! I hope you guys are all doing well. Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for PSP has been shipped to retail stores nationwide today, September 8th!

Even if you've already played Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories on PlayStation 2, this PSP version of Disgaea 2 will still entertain you and give you plenty of sleepless nights, especially with the additional Axel chapters and lots of new systems we've added!

In Disgaea 3, [Register or Login to view links] created a new system called Magichange, which gives monster-type ally characters the ability to change into a weapon.

This Magichange is now available in Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days! What's cool about this system is that you will gain different Magichange skills depending on the type of monster, and all of them will help you inflict massive amounts of damage!

Disgaea 2: DHD won't stop there; it also has a system lovingly dubbed "Magichange 2"! You simply place a monster-type character next to a Magichanged human-type character, and then execute the Magichange command again. Now you got "Magichange 2"! So easy, right?...

50°
282w ago - Capcom's John Diamonon has shared a new Fate / Unlimited Codes Episode 1 - Saber VS Archer video today on the PlayStation Blog, and has also announced that today it hits PSN.

To quote: It's my pleasure to announce that Fate/unlimited codes will be available today, exclusively on the PlayStation Store for your PSP! This deep and insanely fun fighting game is developed by Eighting, the team responsible for the Bloody Roar series and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.

Oh, by the way, if I'm slow to respond to your questions or comments today, it's because I'm in Seattle for PAX. If you see me at the show, perform a PlayStation Home dance and say, "Hey John D, it must be Fate!", I'll hook you up with some free Fate shwag! It's the least I can do for making you perform the Cabbage Patch in this day and age.

Anyway, here's a cool video that one of our summer interns, Arya, created to give you a quick preview of the game. (Hey Arya, don't let school work get in the way of your partying, ok?) Check out Capcom-Unity for more of his strategy videos.

Also, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, the producer of the game, has this to say:

Hi there PlayStation fans. I'd like to share with you an overview of the different modes you'll see in Fate/unlimited codes. There are a total...

100°
285w ago - Today Capcom's John Diamonon has announced that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PlayStation 3 is hitting PSN, to quote:

It's my pleasure to announce that Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arrives on PSN today for only $14.99. (Take that eBay!).

Marvel was nice enough to provide an exclusive offer to the PSN faithful. The first 15,000 purchasers of the full game will receive a code for a free one month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics! If you are one of the lucky ones, you'll receive an email sometime early next week with your redemption code.

Wait, there's more. Since I know you all have mixed feelings about the original Jazz soundtrack, we decided to implement in-game XMB music so you can choose what tracks you listen to while executing your 100-hit DHCs on unsuspecting n00bs. "I'm gonna take you for a ride. I'm gonna take you for a ride. I'm gonna take you for a ride."

Speaking of music, we collaborated with some of hip hop's true artists to come up with a mix tape inspired by the game. The soundtrack includes songs from Talib Kweli, Raekwon, Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, E-40, Planet Asia, Havoc from Mobb Deep, Mc Supernatural, DJ Qbert, Oh No, DJ Toure and more. If you were lucky enough to go to Comic-Con a few weeks ago and snag one of the super limited vinyls we...
