Video: PSP Hello World Exploit for Official Firmware 6.30 Arrives

220w ago - Just a few days after Sony released the PSP Firmware 6.30 update comes a few new PSP Hello World exploit videos demonstrating the PSP hack on a PSP-1000 with version 6.30 Official Firmware.

Similar to the Splinter Cell Essentials PSP exploit and the PSP Hello World Demo Game Savedata Exploit for OFW 6.20, this one also utilizes an in-game exploit that is currently available on PSN.

However, unfortunately the PSP title used isn't being made public yet in an effort to keep Sony from patching it.

Guinness World Records Recognizes PlayStation Accomplishments

222w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has announced today that Guinness World Records has recognized PlayStation accomplishments!

For those unaware, Guinness Breweries started the [Register or Login to view links] to settle pub arguments over the biggest, fastest, and best milestones in the world.

To quote: Guinness World Records now not only publishes the book that you probably own, but also annually produces the [Register or Login to view links]; a records book devoted games and gaming-related achievements (high scores, etc).

That brings us to E3 2010, where the Guinness folks dropped by our booth to recognize a trio of PlayStation milestones.

Scott Rohde, Vice President of [Register or Login to view links], North America, accepted records for LittleBigPlanet with the Most User-generated Levels (2,463,073), UNCHARTED 2 as the Best Selling PS3 platform game and MAG for the Most Players in a Console FPS with 256.

Although we're the recipients of the plaques, none of these records could've been set without you, the PlayStation gamer. It's you who made the levels in LBP, you who bought UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves by the million, and you...
 

FIFA World Cup, BioShock 2 and Kekkaishi Hit PlayStation Home

224w ago - Online Community Specialist Locust_Star has announced today that the 2010 FIFA World Cup, BioShock 2, Kekkaishi and more are hitting Sony's PlayStation Home this week.

To quote: This week marks a truly monumental point in the history of PlayStation Home, as one of the world's biggest sporting events receives a dedicated space.

PlayStation Home's FevaArena - a virtual stadium devoted to the [Register or Login to view links] - will serve as the rallying point for soccer (err... futbol!) fans that want to play exclusive games, collect rewards and limited items, and indulge in their affinity for the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world.

Start at the FevaShoot mini-game, where you can hone your penalty kick skills and earn points that can be cashed in for special rewards. Here at [Register or Login to view links] Towers we are as excited as the rest of the world about the upcoming World Cup... it excites us even more because it gives us the chance to feature all the amazing footy songs from over the years!

So... What we were thinking... was... that maybe you could send us the names of your favourite football anthems... Just to make sure we have all of them. That ok? Coooool.

My personal favourite football song lyric of all time, John Barnes... Anfield Rap... "I come from Jamaica, my name is John Barnes When I do my thing the crowd go bananas"... Genius.

We also have a very cool Dan Le Sac Celebrity Playlist - featuring videos from Fever Ray, Dead Prez and Bomb The Bass and a intro video from the guys which they filmed just for us... Which is nice.
