XCM X-Box 360 Core Cooler Version 2 now available!

50°
325w ago - The folks over at www.XCM.cc let us know about two new products today. The first we'll cover in this article, which is their new XCM X-Box 360 Core Cooler Version 2!

XCM 360 Core Cooler Version 2 can be used on ALL X-Box 360 consoles, including the latest with built-in heat sinks.

The XCM X-Box 360 Core Cooler Version 2 also can be used with their XCM High Speed Air Cooler (more efficient and powerful) or independently, unlike other brands of external fans.

External X-Box 360 fans can only cool the temperature of the X-Box 360's outer surface, but do not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU... therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating.

The XCM 360 Core Cooler Version 2 directly cools down the temperature from the core (CPU and GPU) of the 360 console. Pic below, and COOL stuff indeed! :P

326w ago - The US PlayStaion Blog has revealed that the full version of EchoChrome will be available to download this THURSDAY, MAY 1 on the PlayStation Store for the PS3 and via the PC Store for the PSP.

Both versions will be available for $9.99.

To quote: There are 56 unique levels on the PS3 version, as well as 56 completely different levels on the PSP version (112 levels overall), so no matter if you are sitting at home or on the go, there are plenty of puzzles for you to wrap your brain around.

Planet GTA: PS3 version is undoubtedly superior to the 360

326w ago - There are just a little over five days left until the release of GTA IV, and this morning we bring you a recap.

Firstly, this week IGN is running a "GTA IV week", where new content is posted everyday. Yesterday we already reported on the interview with the game's Art Director, Aaron Garbut. Last night they published an article detailing four of the game's multiplayer modes - covering Free Mode, Team Mafiya Work, Team Car Jack City and Turf War.

Yesterday we reported on the US edition of OXM giving the game a final score of 9.5/10. Today we have news on another Xbox magazine, Xbox World 360(UK), who gave the game a score of 98%, saying the game has an "oscar-worthy dialogue", "unfeasibly rich gameworld" and "inspiring mission design".

Contrary to what many expected, it seems as though the PlayStation 3 version is selling more than the Xbox 360 version at certain large retailers. UK retailer ASDA is reporting that the PS3 version is selling three times more than its rival - the Xbox 360.

Over in Australia, EB Games is reporting that while their pre-sales figures show both versions selling fairly close, the PS3 version is in the lead. Another retailer in that country, Gametraders, is saying the PS3 version is selling double than the Xbox 360.

Interesting indeed, I...

Rumor: GTA IV Introduction Video from leaked PS3 version?!

400°
332w ago - The video below from DT042908 is supposedly of the introduction to GTA IV on a leaked PS3 version of the game.

It's of the 'dark' kind, and the game just suddenly appears and starts running.

Real? Fake? You decide! :P

WIP: Downgrade your PS3 version without previous dumps!

100°
332w ago - We announced this notice some time ago, now I would like to show you a picture of the tool I compiled to do the job. You need the Infectus mod-chip on your PS3 to downgrade. This mod-chip allows you to take a backup of your current PS3 Firmware that can be restored.

The news is that before it wasn't possible to downgrade without a previous dump of your own PS3 console's Firmware, but now things have changed.

Using this tool you can modify a NAND backup in order to let the console think it has a lower Firmware version, so later you can use an official Sony upgrade PUP file to "downgrade" to the version you need.

It has been tested to patch all PS3 Firmware dumps up to 2.10 so far, but is a work-in-progress as we still need to test re-updating more thoroughly.

I would like to thanks to Gigi and Mainman for their support in this tool, and all the other PS3News Devs for helping us in all our work.
