Video: New Yakuza Dead Souls PS3 Trailer: How to Kill a Zombie

200°
136w ago - Sega of America Community Manager Kate Bryant has shared a new Yakuza: Dead Souls PS3 trailer today which spotlights how to kill a zombie for fans.

To quote: It's a question as old as zombies themselves - How do you kill a zombie? I find that most zombie-killing machines fall into one of two main categories: guns and melee weapons.

Yakuza: Dead Souls makes sure that you can experience both from the comfort of your own home. After the trailer, a brief discussion on the weapons you'll have at your disposal in Yakuza: Dead Souls.

Guns - A reliable source of zombie obliteration. A well-timed headshot goes a long way in zombie eradication, and Yakuza: Dead Souls has more than enough guns to choose from. (Don't forget that you can play as Ryuji Goda, whose fake arm is a gatling gun!)

Additionally, Yakuza: Dead Souls allows you to "heat snipe" items for maximum zombie carnage. Horde of zombies got you craving more fire power? Well then snipe the gas tank on a nearby car and watch the explosion spread!

Melee - If you're anything like me, you're thinking, "Alright, guns are cool but what happens if I'm out of ammo or just plain feel like slapping a zombie around?"

Video: Sega Unveils New Yakuza: Dead Souls Trailer Characters

138w ago - Community Manager Kellie Parker at Sega of America has unveiled the characters today in the new Yakuza: Dead Souls video trailer below.

To quote: You may have heard that Yakuza: Dead Souls is coming to PlayStation 3 in March 2012. Like Yakuza 4, the game will let you play as four characters, including two never-before-played fan favorites: Goro Majima and Ryuji Goda. It's a Yakuza experience like none other, because this time, you'll be fighting a horde of blood-thirsty zombies.

The undead are multiplying and filling the streets of Tokyo's red light district. The area is quarantined quickly, but degenerates into a district full of terror, panic and devastation. Survivors try to flee the city, but four men rise up to protect those they care most about. If you think zombies are bad, meet the Yakuza.

Playable for the first time in Yakuza: Dead Souls, Goro Majima is nuts about zombie movies. He's so excited to be killing off zombies that when you're playing as Majima, you'll be picking fights with zombies, instead of just merely defending yourself. Now that's badass.

You probably thought Ryuji Goda was dead after Yakuza 2. But you'd be wrong, and not because he's a reanimated zombie back to munch your...

Video: Master Your Medieval Moves in Deadmund's Quest on PS3

140w ago - Community Specialist Mark Wilson at San Diego Studios has shared some video footage today on mastering Medieval Moves in Deadmund's Quest on PS3 with PlayStation Move below.

To quote: With Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest launching tomorrow for PlayStation Move, Senior Producer Jeremy Ray highlights the game's weapon arsenal in a new dev diary.

The game team worked hard to build a game where the combat feels as intuitive as possible. Holding a PlayStation Move motion controller in front of you as a shield or swinging your sword feels natural for a player of almost any age, and the one-to-one precision goes a long way to keep you immersed in the experience.

That's paired with seamless, almost unnoticeable transition between your weapons: with the sword and shield at the ready in your hands, you can reach over your shoulder for your bow and arrow or grab those throwing stars from your belt.

The result is a game that rewards all ages and levels of gaming skill without the need for a ton of abstract button presses.

Whether it's the fun single-player campaign or online co-op battles, we hope you will have as much fun playing it as we did making it!

Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest Details on PlayStation 3

200°
141w ago - San Diego Studios Community Specialist Mark Wilson has shared some details today on Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system below.

To quote: I recently sat in for the first time with the game team on Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest while they were putting the finishing touches on the game, coming Tuesday, November 15th. Not to my surprise, the game not only met my expectations but far surpassed them.

The first comment I will make to anyone who asks me to best describe Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest will simply be "try it." I know that statement won't win any literary awards for video game commentary, but it is my honest answer. Those that have tried Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest agree that the gameplay speaks volumes.

In one scenario, a hoard of skeletons charged straight at me. I knew I was in trouble... out-numbered, and more than a little frightened. Then I thought of my supply of dynamite. Instead of having to recall the button presses needed to access and launch my stick of dynamite, I simply held the PlayStation Move motion controller in front of me, shielding its light from the camera in order to keep the fuse lit.

At just the right time I chucked that bad boy into the hoard and actually snickered at the thought of my devious...
