On PS3 and as a full digital download on PSN, travel beyond the reach of civilization and find a lawless island ruled by violence. This is where you find yourself stranded, caught in a bloody conflict between psychotic warlords and indigenous rebels.

Discover the island's dark secrets and take the fight to the enemy; improvise and use your environment to your advantage; and outwit its cast of ruthless, deranged inhabitants. Beware the beauty and mystery of this island of insanity... You'll need more than luck to escape alive in Far Cry 3.

Also on PS3 and PSN, BioWare's award-winning sci-fi trilogy is bundled together for the first time in this compilation from Electronic Arts.

Equal parts role-playing and third-person shooter, the series features squad-based combat as protagonist Commander Shepard travels across multiple galaxies in a starship while making a name for the human race. 94w ago - Today Sony Producer and Studio Head Sian Yue Tan has shared what is new in Rocketbirds: Hard Boiled Chicken for PS Vita, which is taking flight in 2013.

Below are the details, to quote: It's my pleasure to tell you that Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is coming to the PS Vita in the first quarter of 2013!

[Register or Login to view links], our cinematic platform adventure game, has come a long way from its three IGF finalist nominations back in 2010. Since then, we listened to people's feedback and vastly improved the game for its PS3 release in October 2011.

That version had more technical improvements than we could shake a stick at; we made it fast and included stereoscopic 3D, added a new Jet Pack mode, a two-player couch co-op campaign and polished the heck out of it.

We received more great feedback, so when it came down to the PS Vita version, we jumped at the opportunity to iterate on the game once more. We added things like new chapters, puzzles and humor; a unique new Hardboiled difficulty setting; improvements to the controls to utilize the PS Vita's unique features; and improved connectivity for the cooperative campaign.

From the beginning, I've really wanted to include...

94w ago - Wired Productions Product Manager Sean Walsh has shared a video today showcasing the gameplay in Let's Fish Hooked On for the PS Vita handheld console!

Below are the details, to quote: As we edge closer to the release of Lets Fish! Hooked On we're very excited to share the first official trailer with the PlayStation community, exclusively, to show some of the features that we first revealed on this very blog back in September. It's good to be back.

With this video we hope to demonstrate just how well-suited this game's fun, arcade style is to the PS Vita, whilst giving you more of a look at the variety of gameplay experiences you can expect from the first ever full-scale (our one and only pun - honest) anime-styled fishing game.

This is the first time developer, SIMS, (the team behind SEGA Bass Fishing), have developed a fishing game featuring anime-style characters; and it was built with the PS Vita's sleek and powerful capabilities firmly in mind.

Check out the trailer here:

Let's Fish! Hooked On is a quirky, fun and innovative fishing game, and as a PS Vita exclusive, it was designed to take advantage of a platform that was built to make the most of digital content.

Lucid Games Introduces Travel Bug, New Discovery App for PS Vita

100°
95w ago - Lucid Games Creative Director Craig Howard has officially introduced Travel Bug today, a new discovery application for PS Vita users.

To quote: We are really excited to present Travel Bug, a new PS Vita Discovery app available for free download later today.

The premise of Travel Bug is simple. You first hatch a bug, then name it, then, using near, send it out on an adventure. Once it's out in the real world, you will get regular updates as it meets strangers on its travels until it comes back to your PS Vita.

So let's talk about the intrepid explorers: the Travel Bugs.

The first time you start the app, you will see a little larvae sitting on a leaf of your Home Tree. Tap it and it will hatch your first Travel Bug. You can name it and dress it up with items from the bug shop, then it's time to send it out on its first adventure.

Although you start with just one bug, you can then go hunting for others. If you hit sync in the game, you will activate near, which will gather any nearby bugs and pop them in your net. Here you can check out the bugs and decide if you want to help them out on a journey.

All of the bugs that you help will appear on spare leaves on your home tree where you can tap on them and find out more about them, and even see if...
