Speculation: Star Ocean: The Last Hope Coming to PS3?

200°
287w ago - Star Ocean: The Last Hope was released earlier this year exclusively on the XBox 360 console.

However, it may just be a timed exclusive with Square Enix's first retail PlayStation 3 game being Star Ocean: The Last Hope.

[Register or Login to view links] is currently listing Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the PlayStation 3.

On a related note, the XBox 360 box art (pictured below) of Star Ocean: The Last Hope doesn't contain the "Only on XBox 360" label.

To quote: GameFly has a good, no superb, track record for leaking games. However, this situation is unusual since Star Ocean: The Last Hope would be announced in Japan first and then leaked by GameFly.

A PlayStation 3 port seems inevitable, but GameFly is the only retailer with a listing for the game so don't get your hopes up too much.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer DLC Coming & Gameplay

100°
287w ago - News of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer DLC was recently revealed at Comic-Con 2009 along with some active cinematic gameplay (video below) courtesy of IGN.

Creative director Amy Hennig stated that Naughty Dog's latest will get post-release support in the form of multiplayer DLC.

To quote: "One of the great things about the multiplayer and the co-op is that it gives us great opportunities to expand the experience for players with downloadable content, unlockables, things like that.

Which of course you don't really do with the single-player game that much. We tried to pack a lot of value into the first game in terms of unlockables, but with that online component the game can kind of keep growing, especially based on players' feedback too."

Marvel Super Hero Sackboys Coming to LittleBigPlanet on PS3

287w ago - Kotaku (linked above) reports that Marvel Super Hero Sackboys are coming to LittleBigPlanet on Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

To quote: At today's "The Next Generation of Marvel Video Games" panel, three new heroic LittleBigPlanet costumes were revealed.

Marvel showed off three concept renders of Sackboys that may be coming to the PlayStation 3 exclusive, but did not offer dates for the costumes, nor confirm that this would be the extent of the Marvel characters that would be licensed for LittleBigPlanet use.

Considering Marvel has Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Marvel Super Hero Squad coming this year, don't be surprised if you see Captain America, Iron Man and Wolverine on your PS3 soon.

We cornered the kind folks at The Behemoth for a little back and forth, so take a look at the video to find out why you need to keep your eye out for Castle Crashers.

And get to know these guys because they promised to come back on the Blog when they have even more to talk about.

Touchscreen VAIOs for Fall, PlayStation Network Support Coming

50°
288w ago - According ot a recent [Register or Login to view links] with Mike Abary, the company's senior vice-president, they have some new Sony VAIO laptops in the works.

These new notebooks will be ready for market as early as this fall and the plan is to equip them with touchscreen displays.

It's unclear whether they will take on the full convertible tablet PC configuration or if they will just be regular laptops with touchscreens, but you'll be tapping on that display in a few short months.

To quote: Perhaps even more interesting is that Sony plans on integrating the PlayStation Network into the Sony VAIO line.

Using the PSN, gamers are able to download a variety of gaming and entertainment content on the PS3 and PSP, so it's natural to extend this service to the PC market as well.

Abary says the initial focus for the VAIO PSN will be on movies and TV shows, but casual games may also find their way in there as well. Integration with Sony e-book reader devices may also be in the works.
