17w ago - Creat Studios Boston VP of Product Development Jason Benham announced that Ms Germinator launches on PSN today with 20% PS Plus savings.
To quote: A lot of classic games had an unintended 'game over' screen where a certain level didn't quite fit into the game logic or memory. These levels have a name: kill screen.
Well, with the release of our new action puzzler Ms. Germinator, we ran into the very same problem: our very first 'Challenge Level' is actually a kill-screen and half the layout is totally glitched. Can you solve the riddle of the kill-screen?
Eagle-eyed observers will already have noticed that the left side resembles a level from the game that heralded the arrival of a certain famous Italian plumber, while the right side is the garbled mess you may expect on the Ms. Pacman kill screen. But, all is not lost - using expert precision and tactics, you can still navigate and conquer this particular kill screen, and you won't even have to be called Billy Mitchell to do it!
Seriously though folks, this is pretty big - we're going to regularly release new Challenge levels and run competitions too! For this first one, the highest score on the ranking board for the Challenge level at end-of-day GMT on Tuesday 20th August will receive a prize of three Creat...

17w ago - Capcom Producer Rey Jimenez confirmed that DuckTales: Remastered PSN hits PlayStation Network today with a trailer video below.
To quote: I've been working with the team at WayForward Technologies to bring you guys DuckTales: Remastered, launching today for PS3 as part of PlayStation Store PLAY.
At the start of development, the main goal of the project revolved around updating the game while keeping the gameplay true to the original NES game.
As the game progressed in development, we found that all of the new content really started to bring the original cartoon to life as well.
For those that may not know, the original DuckTales is firmly seated in the pantheon of the greatest NES games of all time. Widely praised for its tight controls, addicting platforming, and some of the best 8-bit music known to humanity, DuckTales stood apart as a fantastic licensed game.
When creating DuckTales: Remastered, the very first step was to make sure the game felt right, meaning it played just like the NES version. To do this, early versions were tuned so that you could play the original NES version of the game and our new version at the same time with one controller. So for your pure platform gamers, you're going to find that this game just feels right.
17w ago - Sony Associate Producer Dais Kawaguchi invites fans to unlock the mysteries of Open Me, which officially arrives on PS Vita today.
To quote: We hope you're ready to think outside the box, 'cause Open Me for PS Vita is available today on PlayStation Store!
We received an amazing response from everyone when we announced Open Me back in March, and we've been listening ever since.
First off, we created a trial version that you can download for free so you can get a feel for the game. Secondly, the trial version includes the multiplayer box mode, so grab your friends and take on the challenge together!
After you've taken Open Me for a test drive, purchase the full 12-pack game for $9.99, or one pack for $0.99. If 12 packs are too many, and one just isn't enough, we created a 6-pack bundle (24 boxes) for $5.49. Enough packs, puzzles, and boxes for you?!
We didn't think so either, so we partnered with three teams in Japan Studio to create three collaboration boxes! If you purchase one pack or more, you'll also get the Tokyo Jungle box, Toro's box, and the Gravity Rush box for free!
The Smart AR in Open Me works especially well when you use the Original AR Marker, so if you have a...
