Sony Announces PlayStation Experience Games and Developers

Below are the details, to quote: So far, we haven't revealed much about PlayStation Experience except that a) it's happening in Las Vegas on December 6th & 7th and b) it's going to be an awesome once-in-a-lifetime event for PlayStation fans.

So we were delighted to see many loyal PlayStation fans take the leap of faith last week, planning trips to Las Vegas to participate in this very special community event. To those of you who already picked up your tickets - thank you! Your trust has not been misplaced. To those of you waiting on some additional information, I think/hope you'll be pleased with this post.

Today, I'm happy to reveal some of the games and developers you can expect to see at PlayStation Experience - but this is just the start. We're gearing up for announcements, panels, booths, merchandise, and playable games from these major game studios:

Sony Network Media Player for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV Out

8w ago - Following the release of PS Vita / PS TV Firmware Update 3.35, today Sony has released the Network Media Player for both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV platforms with details below.

To quote: Network Media Player App by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe

  • Compatible with PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV.
  • Gameplay requires PlayStation Vita memory card (sold separately).
  • Use the Network Media Player app to access media servers over a network with your PlayStation Vita or PlayStation TV system.

With the Network Media Player app, you can use your PS Vita or PS TV system to view photos and stream music and videos from a media server located on your home network. You can also copy photos, music and video files from the media server to your system.

8w ago - YouTube Software Engineer Richard O'Grady announced on Sony's blog that YouTube officially comes to PS4 today alongside their PS4 Firmware v2.00 update.

Below are the details, to quote: Gaming on YouTube is all about sharing. Sharing your favorite funny moments from Far Cry 4. Avoiding as many Aliens as you can. Even sharing your games.





That's why starting today you can share gameplay directly to YouTube on PlayStation 4 like a bawss, and watch all the YouTube you love with a new app starting to roll out today on PlayStation Store. Just hit the Share button on your DualShock 4 to turn your power move into your next great video on YouTube.

You can also find and watch videos uploaded to YouTube by your PlayStation Network friends in the "What's New" section of the PlayStation 4 and the [Register or Login to view links].
