From his blog, to quote: Less than 24hours after our public announcement of the existence of a vulnerability in the PSP game "Super Collapse 3″, Sony pulled out the game from their store, like they did for Motorstorm and Everybody's Tennis before.

Now comes the stressful moment for me: releasing the VHBL files publicly, and cross fingers that it works correctly on everybody's Vita.

It is worth mentioning that, as for our previous releases, members of the /talk forums knew about the game's name up to one week in advance, which gave most of them enough time to get the game without any issue.

I want once again to thank the community for being able to keep the secret, although it didn't go without issues. Way too many people talked about the release publicly on our forums,...

Super Collapse 3 Unveiled as Next VHBL Supported Title for PS Vita

1000°
123w ago - Following up on his previous updates, today PlayStation Vita homebrew developer wololo has unveiled the title of the next PSP game that VHBL will support on PS Vita to be Super Collapse 3.

To quote from his blog: Insert here random rant for Sony.

Insert here weird explanation on why people should buy the PSP game Super Collapse 3 on their Vita. Implicitly make it clear that this is the next game being used for VHBL. Don’t forget to thank thecobra for his exploit and the port.

Mention that the game is mostly unavailable for the vita in Europe/Asia, but has been so far spotted in the US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Finland, Czech, Sweden, and Poland.

Tell people to wait a bit more for the VHBL files.

Video: PS Vita Hello World on 1.67 Demo, VHBL Update Incoming

1000°
124w ago - Following up on Sony's PS Vita Firmware Update v1.67, this weekend PlayStation Vita hacker wololo has announced news of a new Hello World on PS Vita 1.67 alongside details of a VHBL update with a demonstration video below.

To quote: Hope you didn’t wait too long since our last VHBL release a bit more than 2 weeks ago… This is a new PSP user mode exploit by thecobra (also discovered a while ago by WosRet), which I confirmed runs on a PS Vita with Firmware 1.67. Unlike Motorstorm and Everybody’s Tennis, this game is available in the US store as well as some other countries (details to come). Check the video and details below.

Thecobra already ported VHBL to this exploit, and we already have something running, that just needs a few tweaks here and there before being released. So far I didn’t see anything that would prevent HBL from running on Vita 1.67, but that will need to be fully confirmed in the days to come.

The name of the exploited game is obviously kept a secret until the public announcement, and if you don’t want to miss the release, remember that history repeats itself. Sony will most likely remove the game within hours following...

PS Vita Magic Reader Script Out, PUP / SFO / PSF Support Incoming

100°
126w ago - Today PlayStation Vita developer PsDev has made available a PS Vita Magic Reader script for those interested and noted that PUP, SFO and PSF support are also currently in the works.

To quote from his blog (linked above): Made this script in about 10 min. It extracts the Magic ASCII, PUP Version and License.xml from a VITA PUP here is the script.

Right now the script is stupid and doesn’t do much, I plan on adding a full PUP dump and a SFO/PSF dumper.
