119w ago - Yesterday Sony Ericsson officially confirmed Xperia Play, which is arriving on February 13, in a Super Bowl commercial ad video which can be seen below.
To quote from Engadget: Sony Ericsson has finally stopped teasing, winking, and nodding knowingly and has just come clean - the Xperia Play is most definitely real and it'll be one of the first devices announced at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
We're treated to a date and time, February 13th at 6PM GMT, a pair of full frontal shots of the Gingerbread-running, gamepad-wearing smartphone, and the full version of that creepy ad we saw for it a couple of days back.

To quote: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit races onto the PlayStation 3 today asking the vital question: are you a racer or are you a cop?
That's the choice you'll make when you get behind the wheel and start tearing up the streets of Seacrest County.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit PlayStation 3 players will experience the thrill of the chase and the rush of the escape as they play through full careers as both a cop and a racer solo or connected. The blistering speeds, brutal busts and heart-stopping getaways are all connected via Need for Speed Autolog.
This network not only connects friends for epic head-to head pursuits and races, but also enables players to compare performances and stats, thereby setting the stage for the ultimate in friendly competition.
I can tell you from playing here in the office that Autolog will bring out the competition in you - even if you're not a competitive person.

132w ago - SCEA General Manager Mark Stanley for Latin America has shared some new videos today spotlighting a new PlayStation in Latin America: Live in a State of Play advertising campaign.
To quote: Hola PlayStation Nation. It's a huge treat to share with you today all the exciting news we have for PlayStation in Latin America.
Today marks a momentous milestone as we launch our first official advertising campaign for the region and have the great privilege of unveiling the first two TV commercials with you, our most loyal fans.
As some of you may know, we formally launched the PlayStation business in Latin America early last year and today we are officially operating in 19 countries across the region. We're thrilled at the opportunity to extend the same access to the full breadth of PlayStation products and services to our consumers in Latin America as we've been doing in the US and Canada for many years.
This means that when North American consumers are able to experience first-hand the array of immersive and revolutionary PlayStation Move games, Latin America consumers are also sharing in that experience on the same day.
We're also spending a lot of time focusing on bringing customized and localized experiences for our Latin American PlayStation Nation....
134w ago - Activision Social Media Manager Dan Amrich has announced today that Blur will be offering Double XP all Halloweekend along with a PS3 developer play session.
To quote: In Blur, when you hit level 50 in the multiplayer system, you have opened up all the cars, activated all the mods, unlocked all the game modes, and hopefully have a decent strategy for all the tracks, from the tight turns of Hackney to the one-way trip down Mount Haruna.
And when you reach level 50, well, there's nowhere else to go. Except around the track, of course. Preferably very quickly.
And then, much like Modern Warfare 2, you face a decision: Do you keep playing with all the big toys, or do you challenge yourself by hitting a Legend rank and building up your reputation and garage again, based on pure skill?
As I write this, I'm level 40 or so. I'm going to get some more racing time in this week. And this weekend, the Blur developers at Bizarre Creations are offering a little Halloween treat - double XP from Friday the 29th through Sunday the 31st.
These are the perks when your studio's logo is a jack-o-lantern. That means for every race, you get twice as many fans, which means ranking up twice as fast,...
