203w ago - Today SCEE Social Media Manager Jem Alexander has announced that Sony is seeking your Final Fantasy XIII PS3 interview questions, which can be submitted via the link above on the European PlayStation Blog.
To quote: I still have to pinch myself to test that I'm not dreaming, but it only results in my arms being covered in bruises. Which means just one thing: Final Fantasy XIII really is releasing in less than two months time.
Okay, two things: Final Fantasy XIII really is releasing in less than two months and I need to cut my nails.
Luckily the wait will be slightly less painful for me because later today I'll be seeing the English version of Final Fantasy XIII in action and asking some questions to the game's producer, Yoshinori Kitase, and director, Motomu Toriyama. I can't bring you guys along and let you play the game with me (even though I'd love to!), but I can get your questions answered.
So make sure you fill up the comments section with your most burning questions and I'll pick the best ones tonight to ask to the guys behind the game.
Unfortunately it looks like I'm not going to get this one video'd, but at least this means you'll get your hands on the answers sooner.

207w ago - Update: The Final Fantasy XIV site has now been updated officially to reflect this.
Last week we reported that Square Enix launched Final Fantasy XIV Beta application sign ups, however, these currently do not include the PS3 version of the title.
The good news is that Siliconera.com (linked above) has revealed that those who got their hands on a copy of Final Fantasy XIII also should have received a campaign code used to apply for the PlayStation 3 Final Fantasy XIV Beta.
As of now, there's no other way to get access to it!
To quote: "The Final Fantasy XIII bonus item does two things.
The twenty digit code packaged with the first shipment of Final Fantasy XIII gives future Final Fantasy XIV players a secret item when the MMO debuts next year.
Before that happens, the campaign code is also a ticket to apply for the PlayStation 3 Final Fantasy XIV Beta."
208w ago - Today Yahoo reports that Final Fantasy XIII has sold over 1 million PS3 copies on launch day in Japan, and PS3 Dev rickylyh confirmed it weighs in at 37.6GB in size on a dual-layer Blu-ray disc with a 1.6GB system cache in dev_hdd1 used to aid in loading.
This figure doesn't include the system bundles, however, but Square Enix managed to ship 1.8 million copies total (including bundles) to retail stores.
Unfortunately, unless you are looking to import the much-anticipated RPG, you'll have to wait until March of next year for it to arrive in other regions.
For those curious, Final Fantasy XIII will be released in the US and Europe for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 9, 2010.
208w ago - Update: Final Fantasy VIII is out on the North American PSN, and will be released on the European PlayStation Store sometime in January according to Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team.
According to JoyStiq, a recent e-mail bulletin indicates that Final Fantasy VIII is coming soon to Sony's North American PlayStation Store.
The title reportedly weighs in at 1.78GB so be sure you have enough space on your PS3 HDD or PSP memory stick before purchasing it.
No information is available yet on how much American consumers can expect to pay, but given that the Japanese PSN began offering the game months ago for 1,500 yen North Americans should expect to pay about $15.
To quote: According to a recent email bulletin sent out to its customers, Sony revealed Final Fantasy VIII will be coming to the U.S. PlayStation Store.
No exact timeframe was given for the game's arrival, but it's listed under a section of the newsletter titled "Coming Soon."
