You're hearing it here first, that the next game to be released under the successful, critically acclaimed partnership between [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] will be (wait for it...) SMASH CARS!

A follow-up to the original Smash Cars, Creat's 2003 'no rules' RC (radio-controlled) racing game, the franchise returns to PlayStation and will be available for download during the second quarter on the PlayStation Network.

Sound interesting? Of course it does. So here's more details: real-time physics, innovative stunts and next-generation graphics combine into a dynamic, tricked-out single and multiplayer RC car racing experience where players twist and turn, grind and gear up, performing aerial tricks and stunts while racking up trophies and points as they race to the finish, all in an unlikely location.

Set on a beautiful and tranquil Mediterranean island, the fast-moving, bumper car gameplay style transforms this calm and relaxing setting into a dynamically frenzied raceway.

Why Mass Effect 2 Won't Be Coming to Sony's PS3 Console

250°
279w ago - With the news surfacing about BioWare - who is now wholly owned by Electronic Arts - formally announcing Mass Effect 2 for the Xbox 360 and PC, it has become rather obvious that this wasn't heading to the PS3 and here's a few possible reasons why.

First of all, back when BioWare wasn't owned by Electronic Arts, Microsoft had already published the first game for the Xbox 360 with intentions (much like Gears of War) to maintain a new franchised trilogy for the Xbox brand. People can argue semantics, publishing and trademark rights all they want, but consider Col. Sheppard the tertiary mascot next to Master Chief and Marcus Fenix.

It was reiterated time-over and again that Mass Effect was going to be an Xbox 360 trilogy. And even while Casey Hudson denied plans for a PC rendition of Mass Effect in an interview with Gamer 2.0, it was obvious the big bad MS wasn't going to let gold slip through their fingers...especially considering that the Games for Windows platform is utter crap and needed something good in its library.

The fact that Hudson lied about the PC version could prompt some gamers to believe that Mass Effect 2 could still be heading to the PS3. However, the difference...

Confirmed: Secret Agent Clank Coming to Sony's PS2 Console

250°
279w ago - Sanzaru Games President Glen Egan provided confirmation today for those still with PS2 consoles that Secret Agent Clank is on the way.

To quote: My name is Glen Egan, I am the President of [Register or Login to view links], a San Mateo, CA based independent video-game studio. We are just putting the finishing touches on Secret Agent Clank for the PlayStation 2.

The debonair spy will be bringing his unique brand of Clank-fu to the PlayStation 2 on May 26, 2009 and I just wanted to use this brief post to tell everyone a little bit about our studio and the game.

Seven of us started Sanzaru Games in January 2007 with a mission to bring together a group of talented individuals to share a common vision to develop fun to play, visually stunning and technically spectacular console games. Over the last couple of years the team has grown to nearly 30 and will continue to expand as more talented and experienced developers are drawn to the studio.

The name Sanzaru refers to the famous 3 wise monkeys - the founding philosophy for Sanzaru Games is that great games are a function of good design, beautiful, clear visuals and a strong technology base to deliver these. Should any one of these three pillars be missing then the game will suffer.

We are all huge...

Noby Noby Boy Update Coming to PS3 via PlayStation Network

50°
280w ago - Today Keita Takahashi of Namco Bandai Games has announced news of a Noby Noby Boy update hitting PS3 via PlayStation Network:

Last month, Girl reached the moon. I was filled with emotion when that happened because I was wondering if a lot of people were playing the game. And I am truly grateful for all those who have. Thank you all very much.

Some of our own staff was also touched more than they had expected. With that said, the next goal, Mars, is still far away. It would take all the current players a while to reach Mars, so more people have to join in on the fun.

There have been many reviews/criticisms since Noby Noby Boy released. I totally understand as this is such a unique game and I expected those reactions. I don't mean to make any excuses. That being said, I do get depressed from time to time as I want users to enjoy the game as much as possible. But at the same time, this is what I wanted to create.

In the hopes that more people can enjoy the game, we are currently working on an update.

A featured addition to the update is going to be offline multiplayer. Some may say, "Offline!?" But it'll still be fun. Please check it out.

Well, it's going to be quite a long journey to Mars. Please be patient. This is Takahashi.
