From the included ReadMe file, to quote: INTRODUCTION

For years, the security system of PS3 remained unbreached because Sony had a very good defense mechanism: Consumers could use it for more than just gaming by installing Linux via the "Other OS" feature.

Therefore there was little motivation for security researchers to investigate the PS3. However, then Sony (or SCE, SCEA, SCEE or whatever, we aren't exactly sure what is going on there anymore) made an unprecedented move:

Not only did they introduce a new PS3 model that no longer allowed the installation of an Other OS, but with a firmware "upgrade" they removed it from previously sold consoles.

Video: Connecting to PSN on PS3 CFW 3.55 Kmeaw

207w ago - Today an anonymous user on PS3-Hacks has posted a guide on connecting to PSN on [Register or Login to view links] (right-click, save as) with a video by tt94867 below, followed by a simpler tutorial from slifer1231 HERE and PSN Update Bypass v0.1.1, PSN Update Bypass v0.2.1 and PSN Update Bypass v0.2.2 by [Register or Login to view links].

207w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a video interview with Bioware on Dragon Age II for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: Despite the fact that Dragon Age: Origins, Bioware's first ever PS3 game, scored very well with reviewers - it just didn't click for me. I loved the universe, enjoyed the story.

I even got hooked on the associated [Register or Login to view links], which allows you to unlock special items in the PS3 version of Origins. I just never adapted to the battle system, and eventually abandoned the game.

After reading Tweeted adulation and hearing the raves of seemingly everyone else who loved Origins (Qore's Veronica Belmont chided me for quitting recently), and after hearting Bioware's Mass Effect 2 on PS3, I found myself all too ready to give the upcoming Dragon Age II another chance.

That chance came last week, as EA held a preview event featuring the upcoming Dragon Age II demo (which you'll be able to download from PSN and play on February 22nd).

To me, improvements were apparent and multiple. Visual upgrades (the game has a definitive style), technical polish (inconsistent frame rate begone!), and refined,...
