281w ago - Four new game modes could be added to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The news was struck on Robert Bowling blog, Director of Communications/Community Manager for Infinity Ward.
Here are the details of the new game modes from the blog:
"Thanks to everyone who commented, sent in emails, or contacted me via other means; including the epic presentation I received via the mail this morning containing an entire breakdown of a new game mode complete with a full-size fold out poster (thanks Ian!!).
I received a lot of great suggestions and feedback regarding new playlists you guys would like to see, and this weekend I'm going to be hosting a series of private matches in Call of Duty 4 to test them out. So if you haven't already, be sure to drop me a message on Xbox Live / PSN as I'll be cleaning off room on my friends list and inviting anyone interested to help out this weekend.
Some of the gametypes we're going to test out this weekend are:
Bare-bones Team Deathmatch
No more excuses. No more blaming Martyrdom or Juggernaut for your lack of skills and kills. Bare Bones Team Deathmatch eliminates the excuses and takes it back to basics with standard Team Deathmatch with no perks, no kill streak rewards. Just you, your skill, and your weapons.
282w ago - As quoted from Eric Lempel from the PlayStation Blog:
"I wanted to give a quick heads up to everyone that a new PSP firmware update, v4.05, will be released soon. We know that more and more of you are listening to music on your PSP, and this update will add new visualizers for music playback, among other features. Enjoy!"
These music player visualisations sound like good fun, not too sure what he means by 'among other features' though perhaps some more PS3 PSP connectivity or access to the Playstation Store, or just the usual routine extra security/stability issues.
Hopefully the guys at M33 will be able to work their magic soon with this latest firmware update upon its release.
282w ago - In an interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura offers some interesting details about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Blu-ray version of the film out there is already a certain time. We thought so far only a few bits of footage had been added, but little information and a complete absence of release date proved to be quite strange.
In fact, according to Nomura, these are passages of the whole scenario that have been added and others who have been modified. The Japanese release date has been decided, but it will have to wait (probably to the event DK Σ3713 in early August) so that it is unveiled. Nomura also notes that a big announcement that should accompany the release date, without giving more details. Such vagueness should encourage the wildest rumors.
Tetsuya Nomura is also rapidly on the development of Final Fantasy XIII Versus, a topic that had already provoked a general cafouillage a few weeks ago. The director of Thursday confides that the team is currently working above is very reduced, for the simple reason that the team kinematics is dedicated primarily to Advent Children Complete and programmers lend a hand to those of FFXIII.
No, really, Versus XIII should not arrive before long. As a consolation, we can expect to have FFXIII...
