271w ago - Update: The official [Register or Login to view links] was recently revamped, and now lists in-game chat for online games as a separate feature and states, to quote:

"Talking with friends or other players in the middle of a game is easy. Chat by text or use your headset to voice chat. You can also add new friends or check other player's profiles (including their Trophy collections) to know who you're up against while you're playing."

Although many are a bit disappointed that yesterday's PS3 Firmware 3.10 update announcement didn't include the cross-game voice chat functionality discussed recently by PSN Director Eric Lempel, it is in the works.

The European Blog's James Thorpe has [Register or Login to view links] that cross-game voice chat is coming in response to the question "when is there going to be cross-game voice chat?" regarding the firmware update.

271w ago - PopCap Games Associate Producer Michael Santora has announced today that Peggle and Peggle Nights are coming to PSN this week for PS3.

To quote: Hey everyone, I'm Michael Santora, an Associate Producer from [Register or Login to view links], bringing you all of our titles in association with [Register or Login to view links]. You may remember me from such blog posts as the announcement of Heavy Weapon on the PlayStation Network.

I am super excited to be able to tell everyone on the network that yes, we have listened, and yes, YOU CAN PLAY PEGGLE ON YOUR PlayStation 3 this Thursday!

Peggle took the PC world by storm back in 2007, and quickly became the casual game that everyone - including a ton of hardcore gamers - played. Following on its heels, Peggle Nights was released and has also received major excitement and fanfare from the gaming masses.

Peggle PS3 fans, I bring you the double-shot of good news that not only is Peggle available this week, but Peggle Nights will also be available as additional downloadable content. This gives you two separate Adventure modes and two sets of Challenges to complete, in addition to the online Peg Party & Duel modes for multiplayer competition.

Coming to Sony's PSN this Week: Bubble Trubble PSP Mini

272w ago - Today Creat Studios Director of Business Development Scott Hyman has announced that Bubble Trubble PSP Mini is coming to Sony's PlaySTation Network this week.

To quote: This is Scott Hyman, Director of Business Development at Creat Studios along with Jason Benham, Producer and Creator of Bubble Trubble, our new PSP Mini game. Bubble Trubble will be available for download on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, November 12 for $4.99.

Almost everyone loves puzzle games, but the "Match 3 colors" concept has become so tired that we just had to tuck in into bed and put it sleep. On a quest to create a new color-matching challenge, Jason was inspired to develop a new game where bubbles of the same color fuse together into one upon contact, and grow, grow, grow until they pop.

As bubbles grow, on-screen space gets more and more crowded. If the bubbles don't expand enough to pop, all that room gets filled and the game ends. However, if enough like-colored bubbles are combined, they burst with points, bonuses and much more on-screen space to keep on playing.

Bubble Trubble is a single-player game with two modes of gameplay:

• Survival Mode allows players achieve the highest score by matching and popping the increasingly faster onslaught of colored bubble clusters....

Video: Coming to PSN this Week: Braid for PlayStation 3

272w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared a video showcasing Braid for PlayStation 3, which is coming to PSN later this week.

To quote: This Thursday November 12, Braid descends upon the PlayStation Network. And that means I'm one happy camper.

On sheer style alone, Braid is worth shelling out $14.99 in my opinion. But thankfully, it also happens to have some stellar gameplay that revolves around a time-reversing mechanic, which will keep you on your toes as you solve Braid's numerous puzzles.

Don't trust me? I connected with Joel DeYoung (you heard from him last week) from Hothead Games via PlayStation Eye, and he takes us through the ins and outs of Braid for PSN.

And yes, there's plenty of in-game HD footage to give you an idea of what you'll get on Thursday.
