New Super Mario Bros Announced for Wii, Coming This Holiday

50°
269w ago - Nintendo has just started speaking and they already announced a new Super Mario. This is an amped up version from the DS game.

It includes many new things for the Wii- on top of better graphics, it uses the Wii motion sensor and you can pick people up now in order to save them. It will launch holiday season this year.

To quote: Cammie Dunaway has just announced New Super Mario Bros. Wii at Nintendo's E3 press conference in LA.

It's in 2D and being honest, it looked awesome. Better still, it's out later this year... coming this holiday 2009.

Source Confirms PSP Go! at E3, PS3 Slim Coming But Not for E3

200°
270w ago - Today Arstechnica's inside source spilled the beans about Sony's long-term strategy.

The PSP Go! is real, and should be announced at E3.

The more surprising news? A PS3 Slim is in fact coming, but not until Sony sells the PS3s sitting on retail shelves.

Regarding a PS3 price drop, Sony Public Relations Rep Jake Osuwah stated the following [Register or Login to view links]:

"Price Drop? Nope...(Seriously Quit it with all the Rumors) not yet anyway! Now about PSP Go/ PS3 Controls! (No comments)"

To quote: With E3 only a few days away, the rumors and speculation have begun to filter around the Internet; all eyes will be on Los Angeles to see what Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft have up their respective sleeves.

Luckily, we don't have to guess, as we have the support of our very well-informed mole. His information? Not only is the PSP Go real, but we'll be seeing a slimmed-down PS3 in August or September.

However, this news likely won't be announced during E3.

Final Fantasy XI Coming to the PlayStation 3 Console

50°
270w ago - It's finally happening. The currently PS2, PC and Xbox 360 MMORPG Final Fantasy XI is now making its way to Sony's PlayStation 3 console, following it's earlier versions very late.

To quote: We don't know a specific date for its release in Japan, but I think if this is what Square Enix is offering for PlayStation 3 owners after nearly three years in the game, then they should cough up some more.

I'm talking about more Final Fantasy Versus XIII information and a freakin' announcement for Kingdom Hearts III.

You heard me, I want my third Kingdom Hearts. Below is a scan for those interested!

Rumor: Mirror's Edge 2D Flash Game Coming to iPhone?

50°
270w ago - Have you played the 2D Mirror's Edge flash game?

If not you are missing one of the best platform games of recent memory. The animation is silky smooth, the level designs are perfectly tuned - you can sprint through them creating fluid runs or you can explore the city's verticality for the numerous hidden satchels.

We feel very strongly that this game is just begging for an iPort. The controls are as simple as left, right, up, down and jump. If SEGA can pull it off with a shonky Sonic port there is no reason why the controls shouldn't excel on the iPhone.

Graphically its right where it needs to be, bold and colourful with superb presentation. We can't think of any reason why this shouldn't get an App Store release, can you?

We sent a tweet to Craig "Law" Wien at EA Mobile, as follows: "Any chance of bringing THIS (MirrorsEdge2D.com) to the iPhone? Please?"

To which came the [Register or Login to view links]: "Yah, you guys would be into that game on the iPhone?"

Only time will tell for sure, but here is to hoping it happens!
