Coming to Sony's PSN this Week: Bubble Trubble PSP Mini

50°
267w ago - Today Creat Studios Director of Business Development Scott Hyman has announced that Bubble Trubble PSP Mini is coming to Sony's PlaySTation Network this week.

To quote: This is Scott Hyman, Director of Business Development at Creat Studios along with Jason Benham, Producer and Creator of Bubble Trubble, our new PSP Mini game. Bubble Trubble will be available for download on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, November 12 for $4.99.

Almost everyone loves puzzle games, but the "Match 3 colors" concept has become so tired that we just had to tuck in into bed and put it sleep. On a quest to create a new color-matching challenge, Jason was inspired to develop a new game where bubbles of the same color fuse together into one upon contact, and grow, grow, grow until they pop.

As bubbles grow, on-screen space gets more and more crowded. If the bubbles don't expand enough to pop, all that room gets filled and the game ends. However, if enough like-colored bubbles are combined, they burst with points, bonuses and much more on-screen space to keep on playing.

Bubble Trubble is a single-player game with two modes of gameplay:

• Survival Mode allows players achieve the highest score by matching and popping the increasingly faster onslaught of colored bubble clusters....

Video: Coming to PSN this Week: Braid for PlayStation 3

200°
267w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared a video showcasing Braid for PlayStation 3, which is coming to PSN later this week.

To quote: This Thursday November 12, Braid descends upon the PlayStation Network. And that means I'm one happy camper.

On sheer style alone, Braid is worth shelling out $14.99 in my opinion. But thankfully, it also happens to have some stellar gameplay that revolves around a time-reversing mechanic, which will keep you on your toes as you solve Braid's numerous puzzles.

Don't trust me? I connected with Joel DeYoung (you heard from him last week) from Hothead Games via PlayStation Eye, and he takes us through the ins and outs of Braid for PSN.

And yes, there's plenty of in-game HD footage to give you an idea of what you'll get on Thursday.

Namco Bandai: Tekken 6 PS3 Online Patch is Coming Soon

100°
268w ago - Today Namco Bandai has confirmed that a Tekken 6 PS3 online patch is in the works and coming soon.

The patch is expected to remedy issues including that when trying to compete online in any sort of meaningful way, you're met with acute, game-ending connectivity issues.

To quote: Namco recognized that today and issued a statement stating, "To improve the online game experience for players ... Namco Bandai games is developing a downloadable update which will be available as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures."

Unfortunately, no date for the patch has been given, though the publisher does add, "This is separate from the online co-op Scenario Campaign mode update."

We've pestered Namco for more details on exactly what the patch will aim to fix and when we might hear more about it but, until that time, know this: something is being fixed at some point.

268w ago - Today Backbone Entertainment Designer Kyle Vincent Tunison has announced that Military Madness: Nectaris for PS3 is coming to PSN this week for $9.99.

To quote: I'm back yet again to talk with you about Military Madness: Nectaris as we approach its impending release on the PSN this Thursday.

Military Madness: Nectaris will be released this Thursday on the PSN! You PS fans will be rewarded for your patience by with native 1080p! With that out of the way, today's topic: tactics and strategy, with a focus on multiplayer!

The multiplayer component of Military Madness is comprised entirely of new content. This includes the customizable Commander Unit (more on him later) and 10 new maps built specifically for multiplayer. Also, not only can you play locally or online with up to three other people, but you can always throw in some bots if you find yourself a few players short.

Let's start at the beginning: multiplayer in MM is not for the faint of heart. The campaign provides many hours of gameplay... but the multiplayer is what will separate the chumps from the champions. It's got more tactical depth than you can shake a moon rock at. Allow me to shed a little light on those depths...

A common mechanic in strategy games is Fog of War (you only see what your...

Speaking to VideoGamer.com (linked above), Sky's director of On Demand Griff Parry said, to quote: "It [Sky Player on PS3] may very well happen in the future."

When asked if Sky was actively trying to make available the Sky Player on PS3, Parry replied:

"I can talk generally about our desire to extend to any device that supports a good quality experience to project the content. The PS3 is clearly a device where that is possible. And so it may very well happen in the future. Having said that, we're very happy to be working with Xbox for the time being."
