The Amazing Spider-Man PS3 DLC Swings to PSN Tomorrow

200°
108w ago - Beenox Producer Stephane Gravel has announced today that The Amazing Spider-Man PS3 DLC will be swinging to PSN tomorrow!

To quote: We'll be launching four Amazing Spider-Man DLC packs on PlayStation Network tomorrow, starting with the Stan Lee Adventure and Rhino Challenge, as well as two new packs - The Lizard Rampage and Oscorp Search & Destroy.

In deciding what new content would interest fans of the game, we realized the only thing that could compare to playing as the webhead himself was to let players step into the shoes of other notable characters: The Lizard, Rhino, and my personal favorite, Stan Lee.

Plus, you can also fight crime within cool retro-arcade inspired mini-games through Spider-Man's in-game smartphone. Here's what you can expect from each of the DLC packs coming your way.

In The Lizard Rampage Pack, you'll play as The Lizard on a quest to stop Oscorp from releasing a cross-species virus blast into the city. With your devastating attacks and speed, you can create chaos throughout the city on a massive scale, using your powerful tail swipes to rip through Oscorp guards or claw strikes to knock down the toxic towers placed around the city.

The more you destroy, the more bonus points you'll earn! But that's not all: In addition to playing...

Hand of Fate: DC Universe Online Heroic & Villainous Episodes DLC

50°
109w ago - DC Universe Online Executive Producer Larry Liberty has shared details today on Hand of Fate - the new DC Universe Online PS3 DLC featuring heroic and villainous episodes.

To quote: Tomorrow, DC Universe Online's latest DLC pack, Hand of Fate, will go live. Hand of Fate is our fifth DLC pack, and it will be unlike anything we've offered to date. We're incredibly excited for you to check it out.

We have designed this DLC to get you and your friends fighting again in DCUO's open world. We want you back out there, battling in the DC Universe's most storied locations - Gotham City and Metropolis.

With the massive open world areas in the game, we felt it was time that we enriched these areas in unexpected ways to give you a deeper gameplay experience as you encounter the world and other players.

The content is high-fidelity, but serial in nature - our high-end players will definitely enjoy this. We have new group missions we call Operations, as well as more than 60 unique side missions.

Additionally, we have added the Utility Belt Attachments feature. This is a fun upgrade that will give you more flexibility in combat by allowing you to use more than just a single trinket or consumable item in your loadout, and will also give you more freedom to use some...

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan PS3 DLC Out on PSN Later Today

100°
112w ago - Franchise Producer Michael Gamble has confirmed that Mass Effect 3: Leviathan PS3 DLC will be out on PSN later today for fans!

To quote: The [Register or Login to view links] team loves Commander Shepard as much as the fans do, so after we shipped Mass Effect 3, we were excited to start creating additional content that would expand on Shepard's adventures during the Mass Effect 3 experience.

Downloadable content gives us an opportunity to do just that- it gives us the chance to write new chapters that add to Shepard's legacy without disrupting the consistency of the full game.

We approach DLC differently depending on whether it's single player or multiplayer content, but with both, we aim to hit an extremely high quality bar to make sure the fans continue to get the full Mass Effect experience.

For multiplayer, we consider Mass Effect 3′s offerings to be more of a service than a product you purchase. We always said that we wouldn't do multiplayer in our games unless it was done properly, and supporting it fully well after launch is something we are committed to.

The ideas behind Resurgence, Rebellion and Earth were simple: we want to keep the community engaged in our game, keep the content fresh, and most importantly, we want to foster a level...

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan PS3 DLC Expands Reaper Mythology

100°
115w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman has confirmed that the Mass Effect 3: Leviathan PS3 DLC expansion Reaper Mythology is incoming this summer.

To quote: "Shepard's story came to a close at the end of the game," BioWare Producer Mike Gamble told the crowd at EA's Summer Showcase last week.

"But there are more stories we want to tell in the Mass Effect universe." Leviathan is Mass Effect 3's first story-focused DLC, and in addition to introducing new characters, weapons, and combat challenges it promises to expand on what we know (and what we don't) about the most feared beings in the universe - the Reapers.

Set during ME3's harrowing Reaper invasion, the expansion tasks Commander Shepard with tracking down an elusive entity that, according to legend, may wield the power to defeat a Reaper.

Trouble is, nobody's actually seen it. The story begins with an email directing you to the Citadel labs and one Dr. Bryson, director of the elite Task Force Aurora research group that investigates long-shot methods for halting the Reapers.

The Protheans, it seems, were the first to suspect the Leviathan's existence after they discovered a Reaper corpse centuries ago. This all bodes well for Shepard's quest, but just as Bryson begins to pass along the key information,...

Fun Bits Announces Escape Plan: Underground DLC Arrives on PSN

50°
116w ago - Today Fun Bits Interactive Team Lead Chris Millar has announced that Escape Plan: Underground DLC officially arrives on PSN this week.

To quote: Escape Plan is tunneling through with new content for everyone this week. The Underground DLC pulls up for a discounted price of just €1.99/£1.59 for two weeks, Patch 1.03 goes live, and we've unpacked a ton of new costumes.

After being denied their freedom from The Asylum, we join Lil and Laarg as they ride the elevator into the depths of Bakuki's Underground. The darkness is filled with a convoluted network of trains, trollies, minions, and dare we say, an escape.

Building off the success of The Asylum, we've added four new costumes to the dressing room. Dress the lovable characters in the new Buzz and Flower Power Summer Pack costumes, with Furry and Tourist costumes unlocked by playing through the 21 Underground levels.

Did we mention the new challenges and four Trophies! Yay, Trophies!

We've also dug into consumer feedback and have added the new squeeze control to the Circle Button. This squeezes Lil while inflated or juiced-up on java.

We've also taken in more of you tips and suggestions and have applied as many as we can to help improve your experience. So we're returning the favour...
