85w ago - SEGA Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared a video today of Sonic 4 Episode II, which brings Metal Sonic to PSN on May 16, 2012.
To quote: We're extremely pleased to be able to announce that Metal Sonic is making a return to the Sonic universe.
Not only is Metal Sonic returning to wreak havoc in the boss battles of Sonic 4 Episode II, but he's making a star appearance in exclusive content for owners of both Episodes I and II! In other words, now you can play as Metal Sonic.
In the same way as Mega Drive owners who owned Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles got additional content if they 'locked on' one cart onto the other, so too do gamers who own both Episode I and Episode II.
Simply put, gamers who own both Episodes get exclusive access to Episode Metal as part of Episode II. This is an exclusive zone telling the story of what Metal Sonic was up to during the first episode, following his mysterious revival.
Set in the world of Episode I, you can play stages that have been rearranged for Metal Sonic.

86w ago - Lead Designer Rowan Parker has announced today on Sony's PlayStation Blog that PixelJunk 4am will be hitting PSN on May 15, with a Beta coming soon as well!
To quote: We've been developing PixelJunk 4am for quite some time now.
It's hard to know if you're done with no other measuring sticks lying around to use as a gauge, however I think we're almost there! I'll just leave this here.
PixelJunk 4am and the free PixelJunk 4am - Viewer will be released and available for download on the PlayStation Store from May 15th.
Lots of you have been asking for more details regarding the kind of 'actual' musical freedom you can look forward to using with your PlayStation Move. So here we go.
We've created various different events you can choose from to play live. Different events will present you with different mixes of songs, visualizers and a new mood to go with each one. You then take this event live on PSN and make it your own, crafting and performing it however you want.
Here's some numbers for everyone. Each song has 4 track instruments you can use: a Drum, Bass, Rhythm and Synth. Each track then has 4 different looping samples and four one-shot sounds in space around you that you can use.
All of the loops and samples are different for each...

87w ago - Mortal Kombat Producer Hector Sanchez has shared some fresh Kitana video trailer footage today of Mortal Kombat, which will be hitting the PlayStation Vita handheld on May 1, 2012.
To quote: Developing Mortal Kombat for PS Vita was an incredibly rewarding experience for the team here at NetherRealm Studios.
The ability to utilize the numerous new features available on PS Vita was a very gratifying mission, and we are delivering the best possible on-the-go fighting experience for fans.
Our design team jumped at the opportunity to devise 150 new Challenge Tower missions that incorporate the DLC characters (like Freddy Krueger!), while also integrating the front touchscreen and accelerometer in ways that made sense and enhanced the complete Mortal Kombat experience.
The artists enjoyed creating some excellent new costumes (still to be revealed!), as well as re-creating an iconic MKII arena that integrates the rear camera that will give players the ability to literally Fight Anywhere.
Our programmers worked diligently to make sure the players' experience of Mortal Kombat on PS Vita was pristine and up to NetherRealm standards: fine tuning controls (while adding new controls, such as touchcreen...
87w ago - SCE Worldwide Studios President Shu Yoshida has announced today that the PS1 RPG classic The Legend of Dragoon is coming to PSN on May 1, 2012.
To quote: The Legend of Dragoon was one of the last projects I worked on as a producer in Japan Studio and by far the biggest team I managed hands-on.
We started the project in 1996 with only a handful of people, hired one by one as we were building up teams for Ape Escape, The Legend of Dragoon, and Ico simultaneously. During the peak of the game's development, we had well over 100 people working internally in the studio on The Legend of Dragoon - for a PSone game!
We had roughly 10 artists dedicated just to drawing concept art for this gigantic RPG. As the game contained lots of pre-rendered maps and full-motion videos, we were forced to spread the content over four CDs, which was the maximum number of discs that the fattest PSone game case could hold.
It took nearly three years to build the team and develop the game, which was released in December 1999 in Japan and June 2000 in the US. As I moved from Japan to the US in March 2000, I was able to personally handle the game's release in both Japan and the US.
Following the game's launch in Japan, we learned from players that certain parts of the game were too difficult....
