Sony Confirms Hulu Plus Soon Available to All PS3 Users via PSN

215w ago - PlayStation Network Senior Director Susan Panico has confirmed today that Hulu Plus will soon be available to all PS3 users via PSN.

To quote: As you may have already seen, today Sony announced the availability of the Hulu Plus service on 2010 BRAVIA HDTVs and BRAVIA Internet Video Link via the BRAVIA Internet Video platform and will soon be available on Blu-ray Disc players, Blu-ray Home Theater Systems, Network Media Player and DASH.

But, perhaps the most exciting news for all of you PlayStation fans is the upcoming availability of Hulu Plus to all PlayStation 3 users in the United States who enjoy free access to PlayStation Network and its variety of online content.

Beginning next week, Hulu Plus will lift the invitation-only availability of its service, which was previously exclusive to select PlayStation Plus subscribers, and open it up to all PlayStation Network members, making the PlayStation 3 the first and only console dedicated to gaming to offer the service.

Sony Confirms MUBI Online Cinema is Live Today on PlayStation 3

215w ago - A few days ago it was announced, and today Sony alongside MUBI Founder & CEO Efe Cakarel have confirmed that the online cinema service is live beginning today on PlayStation 3.

To quote: [Register or Login to view links] is your own little cinema, like a never-ending film festival, bringing all the wonderful discoveries of international cinema to your home.

The new service is now available in UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia, and New Zealand. If you're in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, don't worry, MUBI will be available in your home next week, Wednesday, November 10.

You can now download the MUBI application from PlayStation Store for free and then find it under the video icon on XMB. MUBI lets you stream more than 300 of some of the most visionary independent, international and classic films directly to your PS3.

Video: Sony Confirms Netflix Will be Disc-free on PS3 Next Week

218w ago - Several months ago we reported that search and discless functionality were being added by Netflix, and today Netflix VP of Product Development Greg Peters has confirmed that the online video service will be going disc-free on Sony's PS3 entertainment system next week.

Video: Sony Confirms LOVEFiLM Application Hits PS3 in November

218w ago - Over the weekend Sony has confirmed alongside a video reveal that their LOVEFiLM application will be hitting the PS3 entertainment system in November, 2010.

For those unaware, [Register or Login to view links] is Europe's own online movie rental service similar to Netflix and can be used for £6 a month, or for free if you are already subscribed to LoveFilm.

Subscribers will get to watch movies such as Star Trek, Collateral, Alexander, and other big hits instantly via either browsing or searching on your PlayStation 3 console.

To quote: "From Autumn, film fans on LoveFilm subscription packages can start streaming thousands of titles through their TV to their PS3.

Open up a world of interactivity and scroll through popular titles and search through categories including 'Pick of the Week', 'Most watched' and 'Highest Rated'.

Treyarch Confirms Call of Duty: Black Ops Nazi Zombie Mode

227w ago - Today Treyarch's Community Manager Josh Olin confirmed that the Nazi Zombie mode from Call of Duty: World at War would be making a return in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops.

In addition Josh Olin also posted on his [Register or Login to view links] that the hardened and prestige editions would come will all four of the original maps from World at War.

No word on whether the guns and equipment will remain the same or be upgraded into newer versions from Black Ops.

For those wondering, Call of Duty: Black Ops comes out on November 9th, 2010 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles.
