Video: Run Like Hell is Coming to PS Vita on September 16th

16w ago - Mass Creation Producer Artur Gosk shared a video today announcing that Run Like Hell is coming to PS Vita on September 16th, 2014.

To quote: Hello. My name is Artur Gosk, producer at Mass Creation from Warsaw, Poland.

You may remember me writing here last year about Draw Slasher - a one-of-a-kind arcade slasher on PS Vita. This time I'm here to introduce you to our latest Vita game: Run Like Hell!

Imagine you're a fearless treasure hunter. Place yourself on a peaceful tropical island. Wait! What?! Spotted by a local tribe of hungry cannibals, you have two choices: check out if you taste okay with garlic, or Run Like Hell!

Not quite a "joyrun," you'd imagine. But hey, you got the adrenaline to speed up, and power-ups to slow down the pursuit.

Jump through hoops, slide under obstacles, and escape the pursuit while admiring a vivid tropical island in hand-drawn graphics through procedurally generated levels.

You can sweat in a jungle, run through a calm village, avoid the sun in cool caverns, and even get melancholic at dusk on the beach. There's a bonus level too, but it's much cooler than you might expect.

Run Like Hell! offers 3 game modes: The Great Escape (story mode), Arcade (endless run on various locations), and Online modes...

Sony Announces Run SackBoy Run Coming to PS Vita & Mobile Devices

50°
16w ago - Sony XDev Europe Senior Producer Tom O'Connor announced today that Run SackBoy Run is coming to PS Vita and mobile devices with details below.

To quote: Hello! I'm Tom O'Connor, Senior Producer in the LittleBigPlanet Production team at Sony XDev Europe.

As well as putting the finishing touches to LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4 and PS3, we have also been busy working on a brand new handcrafted (and handheld) mini-adventure. Run Sackboy! Run! is a free-to-play, platform-survival game built exclusively for PS Vita and mobile devices, in which you can earn exclusive costumes for LBP3.

The Negativitron (that big nasty vacuum cleaner who sucks up all the creativity) is back, wreaking havoc on Craftworld and nipping at the heels of our very own Sackboy!

Using simple tap and swipe gestures, you'll speed through three iconic worlds from the LittleBigPlanet series - The Gardens, The Canyons, and Avalonia - evading danger for as long you can. Anyone can enjoy the game, but as Sackboy charges along at top speed, you're going to need super-quick reactions to keep him on course and out of trouble.

Collect as many bubbles as you can as you speed through Craftworld, and then use your bubbles to buy special costumes and upgrades. Each of the costumes in the game have built in score...

Humble Hearts Announce Dust: An Elysian Tail is Coming to PS4

50°
17w ago - Humble Hearts Creator Dean Dodrill announced today that Dust: An Elysian Tail on PS4 is coming soon to PlayStation 4.

Below are the details, to quote: Most press releases are boring, awful things.

This one here, for example, is pretty bad right out of the gate. Far as we can tell, most press releases are so stuffy because the people writing them are business types, with suits and ties.

So, in accordance with that free-wheeling game developer spirit, we've decided not to announce Dust: An Elysian Tail for PS4 ourselves. Instead, we're going to pass the proverbial baton over to one of the stars of Dust: An Elysian Tail and let her do it instead. There is no way this could possibly go wrong.

"Hello, Internet-People! I'm Fidget, co-star of Dust: An Elysian Tail. As you can see in the photograph displayed above, taken moments ago in a candid fashion, I'm playing the game with a DualShock 4! That's no Photoshop job, that's the real deal! Dust: An Elysian Tail is coming to PlayStation 4 REALLY REALLY SOON! I KNOW! It's crazy! Crazy like a nimbat!

"So, what is Dust: An Elysian Tail? I'm glad you asked, this being an announcement post about it and all!

"Imagine a 2D side-scrolling platformer, with crazy-fast swordplay and screen-clearing MAGIC supplied by...

17w ago - Messhof LLC Co-founder Kristy Norindr confirmed today that Nidhogg is coming to PS Vita with Cross-Buy, Online Play, and more details below.

To quote: We are super stoked to announce that [Register or Login to view links] is coming to PS Vita, and it will be released simultaneously with the PS4 version!

It will be cross-buy, so if you grab one you'll get both the PS4 and PS Vita versions. How dope is that?!

If you haven't heard of Nidhogg yet, thats cool. Its been around the PC game world for a while, and at super awesome parties around the world. Its a two player fencing/fighting game where the ultimate goal is to get eaten by a massive pink dragon: the Nidhogg.

Nidhogg is pretty much the ultimate party game, but you can also practice in single player mode against an AI opponent or play with friends or randos online. When you inevitably have a Nidhogg party, there's a built in tournament mode for 3-8 players. We had some crazy [Register or Login to view links] tournaments at EVO.

You can also toggle a bunch of different variants on and off, or combine them for endless weirdness (baby mode + spine swords?).

The soundtrack consists...

Video: Alone With You is Coming Exclusively to PS4, PS Vita in 2015

50°
17w ago - Director Benjamin Rivers of Benjamin Rivers Inc shared a video trailer below today announcing that Alone With You is coming exclusively to PS4 and PS Vita in 2015.

To quote: At GDC this year we announced that indie horror hit Home was coming to PlayStation, and today we get to announce something even more exciting; I am delighted to finally reveal that my new game, Alone With You, is coming out in 2015 as a PlayStation exclusive on PS4 and PS Vita!

Alone With You is a sci-fi game for people who love adventure, exploring and maybe even a little romance. You play as the sole remaining member of a doomed terraforming colony. Your planet will crumble and implode in less than a month, and you must use your remaining time to try to escape.

The catch? There is only one escape pod left, and it isn't functioning. Even worse, the only people who specialized in its systems are all dead as a result of the colony's mysterious failure. But the colony's AI is still with you, and together you plan to get yourselves off the planet–by recreating those key colony members and learning how to fix the ship, so you can both flee to safety.

You'll explore half a dozen unique areas, using your scanner to find things you need,...
