White 250GB Final Fantasy 13 PS3 Bundle Announced at TGS 2009

Sony of Japan has just announced the very first 250GB PS3 bundle at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

For ¥41,600 (versus ¥29,980 yen for the standard Japanese PS3), gamers in Japan will receive a limited edition Final Fantasy XIII console with a 250GB HDD and lightning across the the body.

The PS3 normally ships with a 120GB hard drive, but the 250GB version has been rumored ever since the FCC leak. It will be available for purchase in Japan on December 17, 2009.

To quote: "Sony is taking advantage of its exclusivity of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan by introducing a new bundle. For 41600 yen, Japanese gamers will get a special limited edition system with Lightning (the main character, not the weather condition) printed on the body. It'll be available for purchase on 12/17 (so importers, get ready!).

White Knight Chronicles 2 for PS3 is Officially Announced

265w ago - White Knight Chronicles 2 was first revealed almost two months back, but today Level-5 has officially announced it for PS3.

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine confirms the game title as White Knight Chronicles: The Awaken of the Light & Darkness, and the first trailer will be unveiled this week at the Tokyo Game Show.

To quote: "The latest Famitsu issue officially revealed the sequel to White Knight Chronicles.

Like its prequel, White Knight Chronicles - Awakening of the Light and Darkness will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3."

Wipeout HD Officially Announced for Blu-ray Release on PS3

267w ago - Today SCEE has announced PSN hit Wipeout HD will see a Blu-ray release for the PlayStation 3 console.

The release will include the original game, as well as the recently released Fury expansion, all for £19.99 and released on October 16, 2009.

Final Fantasy XIII 'Elixir' Beverage Announced for Japan

267w ago - With the Final Fantasy XIII release date for PlayStation 3 now confirmed for Japan, the announcement of a tie-in beverage from Suntory was apparently next on their agenda.

Final Fantasy XIII "Elixir" will come in 16 collectible cans, each with a different character on it.

It will be available sometime this winter, either in single cans (of Lemon or Aloe-flavored Elixir), in packages with collectible figurines, or in a collector's box with all 16 cans.

To quote: "A Suntory representative took the stage at the Premiere Party event today and revealed that, as an effort to increase its recovery capabilities, the drink is being powered up with three times the amount of caffein and royal jelly of normal products.

Additionally, each can contains a full day's supply of Vitamin B1 and B6.

A total of 16 cans will be offered, showing off various characters from the FFXIII game. The cans will be purchasable individually, bundled with special character figures, and in a limited set containing all the cans. As with the Dissidia drink, Suntory will offer two flavors: lemon and aloe."
