211w ago - Japanese gamers will soon be able to buy a black Nintendo Wii and red DSi console.

Nintendo has announced it will release the long-rumored black Wii console on August 1st in Japan (the same day as the Monster Hunter 3 release).

It was also announced the red DSi will be available on July 11th.

No information has been given about a Western release of these new colors yet.

211w ago - The mystery massively multiplayer online game that Square Enix has been working on was revealed at the Sony press conference today. Originally under the code name Rapture, the game is officially the next one in the long-running series and is titled Final Fantasy XIV online.

Sea creatures were leaping out of water and flying reptiles soaring through the skies in the midst of an intense battle.

The impressive cutscenes showed several characters in elaborate armor and different races, and at the end of the trailer a small group of heroes band together, with a chocobo standing patiently behind them as they looked to the impressive landscape before them.





To quote: Today at E3 Square Enix and Sony Comptuer Entertainment have announced Final Fantasy XIV Online to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in 2010.

Not many details are known yet, however, it is Square Enix's next MMO, possibly the codenamed Rapture title. More to come soon.

211w ago - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been confirmed for a PSP release by Sony today at E3 2009.

The game takes place 10 years after Metal Gear Solid 3, but there is no specific release date mentioned other than it's due in 2010... however, some screen captures are available below.

To quote: Kojima announced the next iteration of the Metal Gear series for the PSP. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Peace Walker will take place 10 years after Metal Gear Solid 3.

Taking place in the 1970's, Peace Walker will follow Big Boss in a new adventure. Outer Heaven will be born. Find out the origins of Big Boss.




Kojima will be creating the script and direct the game himself. It's a true Metal Gear Solid title in every fashion. The game will also feature a number of Snakes. More clones still to be revealed?

Sadly, no exact release date was shown for this hot PSP title.

211w ago - Wii Fit Plus has been announced by Nintendo for the Wii. It will ship this Fall with the Wii Fit Board or just the disc itself.

Many new games have been added to this game such as six new Yoga moves, a choice of which body parts you want to exercise and can now count your calories.

The biggest new game will be a game where you will feel what it is like to be Mario.

To quote: Cammie Dunaway has just announced Wii Fit Plus at Nintendo's E3 presser.

There's locker room added, and you can be your own personal trainer. It will include 15 new balance games, too.
