Vector TD Minis Available Today for PS3 and PSP via PSN

50°
233w ago - The Community Manager at Candy Stand Robin Yang has announced that beginning today Vector TD Minis are available for both Sony's PS3 and PSP via the European PSN.

To quote: We've recently expanded into downloadable territory with a handful of iPhone apps. Our team members are gamers at heart, however, which is why we're excited to bring you our first PSP game, Vector TD.

It's a minis title featuring eight maps (two Beginner, three Normal, three Extreme) as well as all eleven tower and seven enemy types of the original Flash version.

50 waves of increasingly resistant enemies (we call them Vectoids) will spawn for each map – you can choose whether or not the next wave automatically shows up once you've defeated each one. There are seven types of Vectoids, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses.

At your disposal are eleven flavors of towers, each of which can be upgraded to level 10 (increasing the tower's damage and range). The Green Lasers, for example, lock onto one Vectoid and deal ongoing damage. The Red Spammer fires heat-seeking rockets at random targets in range. Blue Ray towers drain power and cause Vectoids to slow down. The in-game guide lists each tower in detail.

Every few waves you'll also be rewarded with a Yellow Energy Cell,...

And soon you'll be able to boost your question banks with the bevy of additional DLC that's coming up. We're hard at work converting other great downloadable quiz packs like Comedy, Sci-Fi and National Geographic: Safari for use on PSP.

650°
236w ago - Zipper Interactive Sr. Community Manager Jeremy Dunham has announced that the MAG - Massive Action Game PS3 Beta officially starts today, although many have commented (below) that they are currently experiencing server issues.

The good news? Sony say it is working hard to fix the issues, to quote from SCEE's Elliott Martin from the European PlayStation blog:

"We have seen a few connection issues today, which the team are working to resolve, so it's possible you may experience some issues connecting to games for the time being."

Welcome back from the holidays, [Register or Login to view links] fans! As we mentioned before we went on break, today is the day that our 100% free and open MAG Beta program kicks off on the PlayStation Network!

Hopefully, you've taken advantage of the head start we provided a few weeks back and already downloaded all the files you need so you can just log in and start playing the game immediately.

If you didn't get a chance to grab the goods quite yet, however, or are just now learning about the program for the first time, that's okay too - anyone can grab the MAG Beta and its files at any time between now and the end of the testing phase on January 10 at 11:59pm.

Here's a three-step refresher...

238w ago - NIS America, Inc's PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has revealed that Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! 2: Time to Tighten Up Security! for PSP is hitting PSN today alongside a video (below).

To quote: Hello, Happy Holidays to everyone here. A demo for [Register or Login to view links] is will become available on PSN today! Once the Store updates this afternoon (Pacific Time), you'll get to play 6 Training Stages and 3 Stages of another area in the demo!

Badman 2 has gotten lots of upgrades from the original Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This? Of course, there will be more heroes, monsters types, stages, and so on. But what I like about Badman 2 most is "MUTATION!" Slimemosses, Bugs, Lizardmen, Spirits, and Liliths will mutate under an environmental and ecological crisis! Well, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

These mutated monsters will have different attributes and skills from the original monsters. So you want to see which mutated monsters would do best for your dungeon first, then you can decide which one to create! The types of mutated monsters include: Abnormal, Giant, and Pure types. If you meet certain conditions, your monsters will mutate into even rarer monsters!

They mutate when...
