European PlayStation Store Update for January 7, 2010

200°
255w ago - SCEE's Mike Kebby of the PlayStation Store Team is back in the new year with this week's European PlayStation Store update.

To quote: So, it's my first post of 2010, bye bye 2009 it was fun. What were your highlights of the year we've just left by the wayside? What are your resolutions for the coming year (apart from playing lots of games of course)?

Personally, I thought 2009 was a pretty good year for gaming, but I think from many aspects a lot of what made 2009 good for me (apart from the games actually released) were the glimpses, and promises, of what's to come this year.

Even though I didn't manage to get there myself, I felt that E3 really cranked up the expectations of what is to come in 2010...I feel it could be a vintage year for the gaming industry (though I reserve the right to renege on this assumption this time next year, if I'm wrong).

As for my resolutions this year, I'll be striving to help continue improving the store and the offering we make available to you all (that actually goes without saying really), I'll try and interact with you all more than I have been thus far, and my final resolution is to get more platinum trophies!

To help us improve, this week could you do me a kindness in the comments section and provide your...

European PlayStation Store Update for December 22, 2009

400°
257w ago - SCEE's Mike Kebby of the PlayStation Store Team is here with the final European PSN update of 2009, as follows:

It's the last update of the year; I can't believe it! I think we've made inroads into improving the store this year, and of course I have high hopes that we'll carry this momentum on into 2010.

As with last week, we're feeling generous, so I have some codes to give away (these codes will be for one piece of content available via the store) - there is no competition to enter, I'll just be reading all the comments and giving codes out to those I deem the best comments made.

Think of this as the blog version of 'letters of the month' you find in print magazines I'll respond on the blog to tell you you've got a code, and then I'll send it to you via a PSN message.

Onto the content this week then - Hustle Kings is here, and offers all you wannabe hustlers out there to chance to show off your skills with the cue. The classic RPG Vagrant Story also arrives, and is available to play on both PS3 and PSP.

We have our first batch of premium avatars available on the store; and these are all from the world of LittleBigPlanet, so know you can personalise your PSN ID with some of the sackboy costumes we've previously released.

European PlayStation Store Update for December 17, 2009

50°
258w ago - Today Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted this week's European PSN update, as follows:

Good morning - the store will be updated nice and early today, so I'm still a little bleary eyed.

Our batch of special offers for the festive period begins today, but we'll also be adding a few more titles next week too. From today though, you'll be able to grab games such as Burn Zombie Burn!, Bomberman Ultra and Battlefield 1943 at lower prices.

Also following the firmware update last week, minis now join the fun on PS3, so you can now enjoy the majority of our minis on both formats.

Next week we're updating the store on Tuesday the 22nd of December, and then that's it for the holidays - normal service will resume from Thursday the 7th of January.

Finally, as a personal Christmas gift to some of you lucky, lucky readers, I have some codes I'll be giving out over the next week - there is no competition to enter - all I'll be doing is scouring your comments and giving codes out to those who have left constructive / commendable feedback (think of this as a 'letter of the week' type deal, except it's more 'comments of the week'). These codes will be sent from my store management PSN account and will give you your code directly,...
