268w ago - Capcom product manager John Diamonon revealed during a recent interview with Edge Online that a Capcom-themed PSN store will open this November. The store's layout will essentially be the same as Sony's, but with Capcom-specific assets and titles.
To quote: "Out of all of the third-party companies making use of the digital space, [Sony] recognizes Capcom is one of the best partners for content," said John Diamonon, product manager on all Capcom digital titles.
He said that Sony approached Capcom with the idea. "We're supporting PlayStation Network like no other company," Diamonon claimed.
Capcom expects the store to launch in early November. Diamonon acknowledged that other publishers will offer dedicated storefronts in the future.
268w ago - Just over a week ago, we reported on the BioShock Demo's Texture issues.
Today, 2K Elizabeth (2K Community Manager) has reported that the 2K Development Team is working on a patch for BioShock on the PS3 which should fix all of the visual problems.
For now, she confirmed that two fixes are included relating to the Big Daddy Bouncer and Elite Bouncer Textures Appeared Pixelated and White Bars.
To quote: Hey guys,
I have good news from the dev team about a patch for BioShock PS3! They have been working on a patch to address the concerns some of you on the forum have talked about. As work is in progress I do not have a definite date for when this patch will be released as it needs to be tested and clear certification with Sony before it is scheduled and released. I do know this will not be until after the game's launch, and I will update you with details on that date as I receive them.
I'll be releasing the entire patch list when it's all finalized, but for now I'm sure you'll be happy to see that these two fixes are included.

269w ago - The President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA), Jack Tretton, has told the Financial Times that he has no qualms about Sony meeting their corporate goals and selling every PS3 they manufacture.
Tretton was also asked whether the consoles stands now after a shaky first years. "Gamers are coming back to us, we are selling a higher percentage of games such as Madden NFL and Grand Theft Auto, because people are choosing the PS3 [over the Xbox].
Sales are up over 100 per cent and we are tracking well ahead of what we expected." Tretton replied.
To quote: Where do you stand right now in the console wars after a somewhat shaky first year?
Gamers are coming back to us, we are selling a higher percentage of games such as Madden NFL and Grand Theft Auto, because people are choosing the PS3 [over the Xbox].
Sales are up over 100 per cent and we are tracking well ahead of what we expected. We are having success in multiple markets and, coming up to the second anniversary of the PS3, we are right where we wanted to be.
