Visual Comparison: White Knight Story vs. The Last Remnant

50°
377w ago - With so many great role playing games coming out within the next year, we thought we might compare two of the most anticipated titles on PlayStation 3: White Knight Story and The Last Remnant (assuming Final Fantasy XIII isn't due out within the next year).

While details are still scarce, we can compare the visual styles and graphics of each title. The following images are not final product screenshots so keep in mind that things may change over the coming months.

Sony secures exclusive for Grand Theft Auto 7

50°
377w ago - According to the November 2007 issue # 76 of the Official Xbox Magazine Sony has secured the next Grand Theft Auto, which would be number 7 in the series, to be a true exclusive to the Playstation 3.

"Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of the Cell and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that" as said by Sony's Michael Shorrock in a statement to the press. " We handed Rockstar a signed blank check because we were short sighted enough to let Grand Theft Auto's exclusivity get away from us. Oops!"

Looks like the Xbox fans may be out of luck when it come to the next installment of Grand Theft Auto. If they do release a 360 version it sounds like it would have to be on multiple dvd discs if the game truly takes advantage of Blu-ray.

One thing is for sure. This will be interesting to watch play out. Stay tuned!

Rumor Crusher: Grand Theft Auto IV Out This Month

50°
377w ago - A few folks have been getting a bit... how shall we say this? "overexcited" about Grand Theft Auto IV. The latest rumour to do the rounds is that Rockstar's massively anticipated sandbox shooter will be out this very month. SPOnG can confirm that alas, this is not the case.

The rumor originates from Sony's UK PlayStation site, which bears the release date "October 2007" for the game. Needless to say, when SPOnG saw it we smelled a big, fat, hairy, bloated rat. The game has, after all, been very publicly pushed back from its original release date of Autumn this year.

We decided to put in a call to Rockstar on the off chance some development miracle has happened and were told, in no uncertain terms, "It's coming out in Spring next year." Sony's site, then, bears either old information or a straightforward admin error. While you wait for next year to roll around, sate your GTA appetite with a preview here.
