Official Playstation Magazine: Killzone 2 is ahead of anything on consoles

358w ago - The Official Playstation Magazine in the UK had the pleasure of recently jetting off to Amsterdam to get a world exclusive hands on with the hotly anticipated Killzone 2. Obviously as one might expect, after some time with the creators and the game itself, the OPM writers were left amazed and remarking that Killzone 2 is a 'notch ahead' of anything else being done on consoles at the moment, which is ultimately a very good thing for PS3 owners.

OPM go on to discuss the visual impact of Killzone 2 saying that even with a inhospitable and colour drained setting the graphical trickery the PS3 is capable of lets the game shine and come alive with incredible detail and dynamic lighting.

Breaking News: Resistance: Fall of Man 2 Details

358w ago - Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars is at it again, this time with "exclusive" info on the sequel to Insomniac's FPS for the PlayStation 3.

Aside from the first and last level, the game takes place entirely in the United States, where someone who may or may not be Sgt. Nathan Hale (who plays a role in the story) has to deal with the Chimeran invasion of the US in such places as San Francisco and Chicago.

And there is a cliffhanger ending that sets up for a third title. Vehicles will be included in multiplayer this time around, one will be able to take to the sky with three new vehicles or boogie it down on the ground with the three vehicles from the first game's Campaign.

There's even a tentative release date of November 2008. Again, it could all be pure speculation, but if it turns out to be true, you'll thank us. Or Surfer Girl. How about both?

358w ago - We're currently sunning ourselves out in Seville, Spain at the Pro Evolution Soccer finals and after a triumphant clean sweep of the annual five-a-side journo tournament at the Olympic Stadium (defending team England's crown by winning every game and beating the Germans 1-0 in the final), we managed to sit down with Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, PES's legendary Executive Producer to hear his thoughts on PES 2008 and his vision for the future of the series.

Although this season's version is now complete on PS3 and 360 and should be in your hands fairly shortly (and awesome it is too), Seabass hasn't been content to rest on his laurels and has already begun work on PES 2009, where he promises a 'complete overhaul' of the game in absolutely every respect.

A brand new series of gameplay modes for PES 2009 are apparently already complete and Seabass is also promising that there will be a series of 'crucial' changes to gameplay which will help him fulfil his vision for subsequent next gen versions of the game.

We've put together a big interview piece for you to peruse and fascinating stuff it is too for the hardcore PES afficianado, with Seabass revealing his thoughts on the new PS3 version, how the Online side of the series will develop, what impact the DualShock 3 has had on development and the thorny...
