Fatal Inertia EX Goes Gold, Hits PSN June 19

320w ago - Koei have announced that Fatal Inertia EX will be coming to the PSN on June 19 for $29.99 (they will not be releasing the product at retail).

The game was meant to be a PS3 launch title, but the team at Koei Canada encountered development issues. The game supports Dual Shock 3 and Sixaxis tilt control.

The PS3 version of the game will feature a number of enhancements over the 360 original, including a "re-tuned" control set designed to take advantage of the DualShock 3, upgraded visual effects, and eight additional tracks.

Metallic Blue PSP Hits Japan This July

321w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment Japan today announced plans to release two new PSP hardware bundle packages on July 17.

The value pack consists of a Metallic Blue colored PSP, along with a pouch, hand strap, cloth, a 32MB Memory Stick, and a D Terminal AV Cable.

Then there's the 1 Seg Pack, which includes the same PSP, in addition to a 1GB Memory Stick and 1 Seg TV tuner. Both packs will retail for 23,800 yen and 29,800 yen respectively.

BioShock Hits PS3 in October, Features Extra Content

322w ago - Publisher 2K Games today announced that last year's critically acclaimed Xbox 360 shooter BioShock will make its way to the PlayStation 3 in October.

2K is promising that the PS3 version will feature "new features and content that heighten the award-winning experience."

Unfortunately, further details were not given, although company president Christoph Hartmann noted that we can expect a full reveal over the coming months.

Hot Shots Golf DLC Hits PlayStation Store Tomorrow

324w ago - In a post over at the official PlayStation Blog (linked above), associate producer for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, Chris Hinojosa-Miranda, confirmed that all-new downloadable content for the game is scheduled to hit the PS Store tomorrow.

The content will consist of two characters named Alex and Gloria. Each character falls under a specific skill class, with newcomer Gloria tailored towards intermediate level players and expert-level golfer Gloria designed for veterans of the series.

According to the post, both characters will be priced at $0.99 each.
 

XP SP3 hits Windows Update, Vista SP1 makes a comeback

Microsoft wants to hit your version of Windows with an update, and this time you don't have to go rummaging around the internet to find it: just fire up Windows Update and let Microsoft do all the work.

After a few false starts XP users get the much-anticipated SP3 update, which promises speed boosts and some of the fancy security features found in Vista.

If you're a Vista user you're also in luck, since Microsoft has restarted its Vista SP1 distribution after some compatibility problems with Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Sounds like a party.
